1-10 Question
1-10 Question
1.How would you answer this question which is raised by Constantino? How the life of the
Philippine nation be different if Rizal had never been born?
-Our Filipino Ancestors will be tied by the beliefs of Spaniards until now. We can't see
the light aroused by our homeland, and patriotism won't be a thing to us. There is no good rulling
of our governance, and still there is chaos in our country and this is a fact, without Rizal there
may have been a delay in the of our libertarian struggle, but the economic development of the
period would have insured the same result, he maybe accelerated it and he has given form and
articulation and color to the aspirations of the people. In that case, humanity will not exist and
there is no hope in the early decades.
2. What are the virtues of a gradual moment of a national Identity and government? What are the
virtues of revolutionary approach? Conversely, what are the dangers of the revolutionary
approaches?
-Patriotism is a act of nobility that concede our national specification and gradually
taking progression in the exultation of our government and it unfolds different opportunities in
terms of social class and educate other people to value the Philippine Tradition and to develop
the nature of our nationhood. One of the virtue of revolutionary approach asceticism and the
pursuit of common good in our nation, it unseal the liberation in our country and free us from a
very catastrophic past. It's dangers is simply the brought of bad governance in our country and
this can influenced mankind's both sociology and psychological awareness, hereafter.
3. Do you feel that Constantino had a genuinely high regard for Rizal? Discuss your answer?
-No he did not. He might not disrobe Rizal the merit he deserves and what he did was
a critical evaluation of Rizal as a product of his time. However, he also pointed out that even
without Rizal, the nationalistic movement would still advance with another figure to take his
place because it was not Rizal who shaped the turn of events but otherwise. Historical forces
untied by social developments impelled and motivated Rizal to rose up and articulate the
people’s sentiments through his writings. In fact, the revolution ensued even Rizal disagreed
with it. Moreover During his Lectured he also tried to disclose the real Rizal and the truth of his
heroism stripping off the superficial knick-knacks adorned on him by hagiographers and hero-
worshippers. Those are a few statements that I've found and In conclusion, he did not genuinely
think how valuable Rizals contribution in our past.
4.Do you feel that Rizal has overshadowed the revolutionary movement of his day and other
Leaders of the revolution?
-No he did not. Rizal was just well-grounded to his own homeland and as well as to
other Leaders. He was just thinking all the possibilities that could surface, hereafter and to his
fellow countrymen. Moreover, when he declined to support that 1896 uprising or revolution.
This was while he was doing some fishing in Dapitan. . His reason is so simple: We Filipinos
were not prepared for it. What is the use of independence if the esclavos today will be the Bosses
tomorrow. His own Homeland will come to grief And because we Flipinos got no thousands of
Mausers or Muratas, it does mean that we are not well-equipped enough. So, no to revolution
those years yet; prepare your human material otherwise they will be cannon fodder; and Filipino
rebel leaders are so regional they cannot see eye to eye; they instead recruit their fellow
countrymen in forming revolution.
5. How independent is the Philippines from the pressure of other world powers such as the
United States of America or Japan?
-The Philippines gained full independence in 1946, a year after the Japanese
occupation of the Philippines and it is said that On 4 July, 1946, both the Philippines and the US
signed the Treaty of Manila which recognised the independence of the Philippines. Thankfully,
we are now free from the claws of the Spanish colony and the invasion of Japanese People.
6. If you agree with Constantino, what steps are needed to make Filipinos (regardless of
education or wealth) equal in the eyes of the law and in the esteem of its people? What forces
work against this goal?
- Be noble in iving your life, always think the outcome of our actions and hereafter, the
law will think highly of the life that you lived. In our wealth, always set your goals in life, take a
good care of it, for a healthy lifestyle. Seek awareness in every aspects of life, and Be rational.
These are only a few steps that I think might help us be respected by the law, itself. Our
perseverance and strong determination and our strong faith to God will encourage us to obey his
rulling, that everything that he teaches us will make us dignified infront of the law. People has a
right to lived their own life, the way they wanted to but the law itself, will always find those who
have sinned. Every actions has a consequences and those consequences are guided by the
law. However, our rights as an individual can not be removed by the history, in fact law will view
you as a dignified human being if you obey the law.
7. Do you agree? Was the nation ready to govern itself through the 7000-plus island? Had Spain
adequately prepared the Philippines for self-government at that point and time? Is the Philippine
nation today moving toward liberty and justice for all her people?
-Absolutely. The fact that they have successfully conducted a peaceful, free and honest
election in which we, Filipino people reiterated confidence in the present Nacionalista
administration, it was an untrammeled expression of the popular will and the overall result was
the strengthening of Philippines democracy. It was an untrammeled expression of the popular will
and the overall result was the strengthening of the fabric of Philippine democracy. They have just
laid the cornerstone of a Nuclear Center made possible by the United States granting us an
Atomic Reactor. We have, been ushered into the threshold of a spectacular industrial revolution
with the use of atomic energy. These are a few factual statements that proves, that our nation is
on their way to govern the 7000-plus islands. Moreover, I can say spain was adequately prepared
of having a self-government here in the Philippines, they even established a centralized colonial
government in the Philippines and it was composed of a national government and the local
governments that administered provinces, cities, towns and municipalities, they want Philippines
to achieved good governance and now hopefully after the addressed statement of our very own
Diosdado Macapagal, On Independence Day, entitled as HONOR AND DIGNITY IN
FREEDOM he greeted his fellow countrymen of our freedom. In the discharge of his
responsibility as President of the Republic, he moved the observance of the anniversary of our
independence to this day because a nation is born into freedom on the day when such a people,
molded into a nation by a process of cultural evolution and a sense of oneness born of common
struggle and suffering, announces to the world that it asserts its natural right to liberty and is
ready to defend it with blood, life and honor. This is why we can say, that our homeland right
now is now in the process of moving on towards freedom and liberty.
8. What are the dangers of an armed revolt? Are there any ways that such dangers can be
lessened? If so, what are they?
9. Would you list what Filipino(s)- famous or not- that epitomize the best of a “Filipino Hero”?
Please illustrate from their lives what causes you to make this choice/these choices.
-Dr. Esteban de Ocampo, a known historian, stated in his book about Rizal that the
epitome of being a hero means a prominent or central personage taking an admirable part in any
remarkable action or event; a person of distinguished valor or enterprise in danger, or fortitude in
suffering; and a man honored after death by public worship because of exceptional service to
mankind. The Jose Rizal life, somehow pictured out those definition. We all know how he
sacrificed to attained freedom and to expound how valuable patriotism in our life as a Filipino.
He is the main basis of why people, right now lived with hope and light during their darkest
times, he symbolizes what selfless act can do to saved our country, he also served as our
inspiration in different aspects of life, he is an instrument of triumph and unconditional love to
his homeland aswell as to his fellow countrymen, and for that, what we can do right now, is to
repay all his good deeds to us, that his death revived our homeland and that we can be a hero in
our own capabilities in life.
10. Was Rizal's mission, in part, to seek out what was "authentic" and good about the Philippine
Character?
-Indeed. As his Fellow Filipino, I can't really questioned his good deeds along the way,
he even fought freedom in a silent but powerful way. He expressed his love for the Philippines
through his novels, essays, articles and poems rather than a force of aggression and he is our
instrument of developing our Personal Development and our character as his fellow Filipino. He
was a very amazing person at his time and those books that he wrote, shaped humanity and
strong devotion to our beloved homeland. It's his goal from the very beginning to mold
Philippine Character, it's his vision to developed patriotism and instill in our mind and heart to
value the nature that we've lived in, he brings prosperity along the way, that must not be taken
for granted, we, his fellow countrymen must honored his name, for this country arouse because
of him.
