1. What does the presenter recommend doing in these places?

Huaraz: Its high is about 4,000 m.a.s.l. and less people visit to the
mountains and lakes for take a high walking. Usually, you need to be a
professional high scalor.

Paracas: Do sightseeing to the big group of small islands where you


could see a lot of sea lions and birds. Ass well, you would be visiting the
Paracas National Reserve.

Huacachina: This the only oasis around South America and here you can
do sandboard, because their big and high dunes. As well you can take a
tubular.

Colca Canyon: Do sightseeing the second deepest canyon of the world,


the most important activity is the 3-day hiking. Also, you can see
camelids (vicuñas, llamas, alpacas, etc.) in their natural ecosystem. You
also can see the largest bird in South América.

Uros Islands: Visit people living on a floor made of “totora” (a native


plant) and be in the highest lake of the world where you can find
Peruvian and Bolivian people.

Pisac: This is a great popular town in Cuzco where you can buy
something in the great Market near Cuzco. It has a lot of agriculture
terraces where you can walk.

Ollantaytambo Ruins: Emperor Pachacutec built it to defender the


empire, this archeological site is also a mostly important religious place.

Moray Runes: These were an important religious site and now are just
circular depressions. You can see perfect big terraces.
Maras Salt Mines: You can go straight to the northern part of Cuzco city
and visit this great formation in the middle of the Vilcanota valley. Inca
society used this salt that is obtained from the high temperature of the
underground.

National Sanctuary of Mejia Lakes: The third most main tourist activities
in Perú is the bird sightseeing, that’s why Mejia lakes is very popular in
Arequipa. You can find hundreds of native birds and other hundreds of
estrange birds that visit this ecosystem on the western part of the
Arequipa region. As well, visitors can stay over the Mollendo beaches.

Geoglyphs of Toro Muerto: This archeological site is one of the most


famous places in Majes district and in here visitors can walk over dunes
where you can find thousands of painted stones. As well, there are some
dinosaur footprint fossils where most people like watching those several
fossils.

Geoglyphs of Sumbay: This important geoglyph site is on the right side


of the Patahuasi zone, in Yanahuara district. In here visitors can see
more than five hundred drawings on the stones. This place was called as
National Culture Patrimony.

Sillar Route: This natural geological site that was become as a cultural
place where many people work with the most famous and abundant
stone of Arequipa, this is the main material, and city (temples, homes,
convents, palaces, etc.) was built with that. The route is over three
kilometers. In here, visitors can learn to make “sillares”, this material is
still used to built homes, walls and sculptures. Its ubications is between
Cerro Colorado, Yura and Uchumayo districts.
