INTRODUCTION

This business plan is for Midnight coffee, owned and operated by Mariz Anthonette Zalsos . It will be a
multicultural restaurant which will serve clients desiring Filipino and American foods. Midnight coffee seeks
to meet the needs of the varied and growing ethnicity of the greater area of Iligan city by being the first to
offer authentic and classic coffee ,and food from this restaurant will be prepared primarily from fresh food
products.

This restaurant will seek to create a Caribbean atmosphere. International music and culture will be
incorporated into the restaurant through paintings, murals, and West Indian reggae music.

The restaurant's location is in the Philippines here in Mindanao,land of promises lot of falls here in Iligan
city . The restaurant's size of 1200 square feet will consist of the cooking area with refrigerator and freezer,
counter eating area, dining area, waiting area for takeout food, and restroom.

There will be three full-time employees and the owner: a cashier, two cooks, and the owner/manager.
Management plans to adopt a "just in time inventory system" to avoid unnecessary refrigeration and excess
stock. To effectively and efficiently manage the inventory, there will be an independent buyer for the
restaurant.

The indirect competition and advantages OF MIDNINGHT COFFEE over other coffee in the area are as
follows:

Starbucks Corporation is an American multinational chain of coffeehouses and roastery reserves


headquartered in Seattle, Washington. As the world's largest coffeehouse chain, Starbucks is seen to be
the main representation of the United States' second wave of coffee culture.

Burger King offers their customers high quality service and a family oriented atmosphere. Food is
expensive and generally unhealthy.

Midnight coffee is planned to provide classic coffee that will take the customer on a natural and a smell
the aroma of the coffee . It is evident that natural beans is more nutritious and healthy for the body, and
midnight coffee plans to provide this healthy and fresh beans coffee from the land of batangas . The
restaurant will prepare mostly fresh food products, using only a minor and unavoidable portion of frozen
food products.The midnight coffee menu has been created quite differently from the customary American
menu. Though coffee items may be similar to American coffee the special ingredients , the aroma of the
coffee , and methods of preparation will provide a unique flavor unmatched by any other. The menu has
been created by the finest American . He sincerely hopes that customers will enjoy the entrees.

set of sunset in the background.

Midnight coffee will be operated as a Sole Proprietorship. There will be private investors. However, these
investors will be silent investors with a payoff of investment within three years. These investments will be
paid twice-yearly in equal installments including interest.

Overall management will be the responsibility of the owner. There will be a general manager .

Proprietor

As Owner Mariz Anthonette Zalsos brings to midnight café an extensive and varied background. The
owner of the business who have te power to make a rule and also to manage the different strategy selling
and to achieve the success of business.

General Manager

Qualifications

This position has not been filled. The requirements of the position require 10 years experience in
restaurants, at least five of those years in some type of supervisory position. A bachelor's degree in hotel
and restaurant management is preferable. The candidate for this position will be required to submit a
resume and verifiable references. The candidate will be interviewed and hired by the proprietor.The general
manager will report directly to the owner. They will be responsible for the overall management of the staff.
They will work in conjunction with the owner in ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, handling customer
complaints and scheduling staff. Other duties would include ensuring staff coverage for all shifts and
reports to the owner.
Server

Qualification

The servers must have at a minimum a GED or be attending school or a training program and one year's
experience working in a restaurant. They must be at least 21 years of age. They must possess a friendly
and outgoing personality and have good personal hygiene.

Job Description

The server is responsible for waiting on tables, taking the customers' food and drink orders and acting as
cashier for their customers. They are responsible for helping to keep the serving area and the customer
areas clean and sanitary. They are responsible for helping the assistant cook keep the service area
stocked. At the end of their shift, they will be required to complete all side work as assigned.

Cashier

The one who manage the payment and change of customers .

Janitors \Janitress

The one who manage and maintain the cleanliness of the business in order to impress the customers.

Guard

The one who watch over to protect and control the peaceful of the business .

a resounding success. Working together as well-knit team with a common goal to satisfy customer by
providing quality products at competitive prices, our team consists of the experienced and dedicated staffs,
who work in a team spirit to achieve common goals. In pursuit for overall excellence, we have evolved pro-
active mechanisms and work culture in introducing new food and beverages to satisfy our customer and
attract new ones.

The success of organization will always depend on knowledge, experience and skills of the promoters, so it
is necessary that the owners of the company must pour their “blood” to build image of thecompany.

quality.The main risk is monetary and our target market may not patronize our product because it is locally
made.•The best organizational structure to adopt in the same manner,communication will be facilitated from

PRICING STRATEGY : We will offer two sizes of our coffee drinks, 12 ounce and 20 ounce.Our pastries
and cookies will range from P25-P75

ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION: We plan to spend moderately on advertising and promotion. We


intend to advertise in a social networking site such as face book and twitter. We will do have flyers and
leaflets to promote our business and will also offer loyalty card program to our valued customer.

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS:The financial need of our business shall be sourced from partner’s equity. Each
of the members shall contribute an initial amount of P210, 000 in cash. Half of the capital will be used for all
expense to be incurred during the pre-operating period and during the half of the year of normal operation.

SUMMARY ASSUMPTIONS

 If our supplier increase their price,we will have other supplies which is restaurant and can be
bought at Robinson or near at the City. If the price still increase,we will be the one to produce
another branch.

 Expense on labor art remain the same for the First 3 years then due to increase sales it is
necessary to hire 2 more staff to maintain quality and fast service.
 To ensure the safety of the shop we have the security and we will install CCTV.
 We believe that this is the start of our journey through our dreams and achieve our goals.And we
are going to become A millionaire .
 Midnight coffee recommend to all people in Iligan City to buy our Aroma therapy coffee that can
chill and relax to your body, it is different to others and i will make yoh sure that this is very good
and make you feel better.
