Starter: On Zoom’s whiteboard provides examples.
o Find the multiple and provide some examples to find the product.

Preparation for International Assessment: (MAP, EmSat, CAT4, SAT, TIMSS, PISA, IELTS)
Provide questions and individual assessment.

Instruction (“I do” – teacher models): Time 10 minutes


o Visual intelligence: - Focus on Modelling;
o Display a PowerPoint presentation. (Go math book)
o Encourage students to underline key words or phrases that can help to analyze problems. They will use the
RUPSC method to solve word problems.
o Students are guided to add and subtract multi-digit decimals.

Guided Practice (“We do” – shared practice teacher and students): Time: 10 minutes
o Display some problems on Zoom’s whiteboard and have students work on them.
o In groups: display some problems on Zoom’s whiteboard and have students work on them.
o Visualize Vocabulary:
o Students demonstrate their understanding of vocabulary.
• Students create a vocabulary key on a sheet of paper, with each word in a different color.
• As students complete division problems they highlight each part with the corresponding color
