social, economic, and environmental consequences both communities and individuals. As most
people are well aware, floods are common natural disasters that can affect millions of people
around the world. Flooding immediately destroys lives and properties. It can also
contaminate drinking water and lead to diseases.
In accordance with that, “Kilos Kalikasan sa Munting Paraan” project came up to this
concept to conduct that said program in the community of Poblacion 5 to have a clean-up operation
in specific areas to prevent such possibilities that might happen in the nearest future. Thus, it offers
the chance to try out a new career without making a long-term commitment. It is also a great way
to gain experience in a new field. While it might be a challenge to coordinate everyone’s schedules,
volunteering as a family has many worthwhile benefits. People watch everything you do. By giving
back to the community, you show them first-hand how volunteering makes a difference and how
good it feels to assist other people to make a change.

XII. Description of the Project, Strategies and Methods/Plan of Action

The project "Kilos Kalikasan sa Munting Paraan” is a local community service and
environmental plan that designed to unite people in specific area within the Barangay which in an
activity that demonstrate concerns for the local environments. Engineering students proposed an
idea to inform and inspire people to take greater care of their community areas on an ongoing basis.
Consequently, to create this program that focuses on clean-up activities thereby raising the
awareness of governments, industries and communities about local environmental issues,
particularly waste minimization, recycling, and waste management.
The NSTP-CWTS students, will covers all the expenses that will used in the said program
that might able to support for necessity and requirements whereby it contributes a huge factor in
order to facilitate it efficiently and effectively.

1. Gathering of Data
- It is the base and the foundation, required to get that analysed knowledge for making
your decisions. It is the process on what your whole activities depends on. It is too important
as the way you conduct the program or the way you gather the data and the sources you go for
that could precisely lead you to a right path or a wrong path either way in your activity that
developed your strategy.

2. Planning
- After collecting the data, proceeds to planning is primarily based upon clarity of
objective. Since the future needs of the organization are anticipated in advance, the proper
acquisition and allocation of resources can be planned, this would minimize the chances of
haphazard decisions and ensures maximum utility of managerial time and efforts.

3. Communication and Coordination

- Communication is one of the keys to successfully understand one another. In this
case, it is essential to use this specially if the person is completely unknown to you.
Coordinating with them by explaining thoroughly the concept of what planned you made of to
guide the fellow volunteers to enhance good human relations with people. Therefore, it will
satisfy the subordinates which in turn boosts their morale and keep motivated to work with.

4. Strategy
- The proponent strategy method is to work as team. First, you will have to gather in
one place and each person has respective role that suits them well so as to focus on their tasks.
This alliance could help people binding them into one for the benefit of themselves and the
community. Subsequently, after collecting all the garbage (littering and cleansing the drainage
to avoid floods), next to segregate them in placing to correct container; biodegradable
(nahubulok), non-biodegradable (hindi nabubulok), and plastic cups (mga bote). Then, if you
totally done cleaning the area, follow the rest Baranagay 5.

5. Task Delegations
- The proponents will each be given a task assigned to them. For the task delegations,
volunteers will collect all the waste by using different ways of how to integrate them, some
will be sweeper or picking up those trash, others will clean the clogged drainage so that the
trash will not be stuck there that caused of flooding, and the remaining will segregate the
garbage.
