As a teenager I was always fascinated by how brands work, the things they do to attract
consumers, and the pull strategy they use to boost their sales but could not put a word to it until I
entered the field of commerce and management. After studying seven years about management
and its sidekicks, I have concluded that this field is not about textbooks but it is about what you
can apply from those textbooks in practical scenarios. That is why I want to pursue this
specialized field of Marketing Management - Digital Media in Canada.
INTRODUCTION:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
I completed my matriculation in May 2013 from the Central Board of Secondary Education and
secured 8.2 CGPA and HSC in May 2015 from the Central Board of Secondary Education
securing an overall 82.2%. After completion of my HSC, I did my Bachelors of Business
Administration (B.B.A) from the University of Jammu in the year 2018 with 68.68%. And then I
completed my Masters of Business Administration in the field of Marketing & Finance from the
University of Jammu in the year 2020 with an 8.66 CGPA. In my MBA I was given
opportunities to do research activities related to marketing with a strong focus on digital
marketing.
I did my first internship in DISHNET WIRELESS LTD. from July - August 2017 in Human
Resources. I have also been part of the Internshala Student Partner 8.0 Program from Aug 2017 -
March 2018 as well as worked as a part-time intern in INSTAAWANT EMPIRE PVT LTD from
October 2017- July 2018 and from May - Aug 2019 in TEAM INSPIRE BUSINESS
SOLUTION in the field of Digital Marketing. Currently, I am working as a project coordinator
in SUPER DNA 3D LAB in the field of Sales and Project management.
Over the years I have found my inclination towards creativity, digital marketing, and brand
building making my presence productive in various internships I got the opportunity to be part
of. And with time I have realized if there is something I am passionate about in my life it needs
to be related to analytics and creative thinking which would give me the freedom to pour my
thoughts out. Thus I decided to do this course of Marketing Management- Digital Media. I am
sure that I will be able to excel in the field of digital media, because of two reasons: first, as there
are immense job opportunities in INDIA because of the rapid digitalization in our country.
Secondly, due to this Covid-19 Pandemic, I strongly feel digital media has replaced the
traditional methods to a greater extent making me believe that Digital Marketing is the Future
and taking up this course would open new opportunities and doors for me to explore.
WHY CANADA?
I strongly believe that Graduate study in Canada is the best type of further education at this
instance because of the suppleness incorporated in its educational system, infrastructure,
opportunities for research activities, and intense interaction with the industry, and exposure to
the latest technology. Above all Canada is one of the top countries to study in, according to
global education standards. I have realized my inclination towards the country's education
system and its impact on a person’s professional growth and above all, it will also make me part
of an International Alumni Network. Apart from all of these, Canada is also considered to be
very safe for international students and is also known to be a student-friendly country. I believe
if I can get the opportunity to be a part of this intellectually stimulating environment, I am sure
my potential will be put to optimal use.
Lambton is one of the top-rated colleges in Ontario. It was established in 1969 and in these 52
years it has become one of the world’s renowned colleges for providing the best-specialized
Graduate Programs in various fields. The reason behind selecting this College is linked with
numerous facts like work-integrated learning is incorporated into all post-graduate certificate
courses. Also, I can earn extra credits in the course through co-op work experience, voluntary
work, by taking up projects with industry or community partners, educational tours, and other
opportunities. These out-of-the-box learning methods linked with real-world scenarios would
help me in the actual working environment. In addition to that, Lambton college’s student aiding
departments help international students in understanding the ways and regulations of the college
and aid the needs of new students helping them adjust and catch up with the pace of the uncertain
environment. The college’s splendid facilities are also one of the major attractions for me, and a
two-year specialized co-op course in Marketing Management - Digital Media would give me
firsthand experience in the field at such an affordable cost and that motivated me to apply for the
college.
FUTURE GOALS:
My plans are certain and decided well in advance after completion of this program in Marketing
Management - Digital Media. I believe that I will be well-poised to enter the industry as a
business professional that can help corporations optimize their various marketing strategies, as
well as consistently assessing their performance to ensure that sales expectations and demands
are met. Through this specific training that I will receive during my time in the program. I will
develop skills that will enhance my ability to work on real-world projects that will challenge my
creativity and leadership. Additionally, it will offer me an invaluable opportunity to network
with different companies, which greatly enhances my career potential around the globe.
CONCLUSION:
I would like to thank Lambton College for allowing me to study in this field. This course will
help me realize my dream of becoming successful. Given an opportunity, I shall thrive to fulfill
my potential with a mutually beneficial relationship with the College. In your College, I find the
perfect amalgamation of course and people who will “WING” my aspirations. Keeping the above
