3. Think of a time when you felt you were your “true self”. What made you
think you were truly who you are during this time of your life?
A time when me and my brother bought an ice cream cake for our
mother because it is our mother’s birthday. We surprise her and
bought a bucket meal for her. She was surprised at that time and
made her cry. We felt so proud of ourselves at that time so I think I
am in “true self” at that time. I can say that I am true on myself this
time because I am focusing in my study and paying more attention to
my family and friends. They are on my priority list that’s why I can say
that during this time of my life, I am truly on myself.
4. Following the question above, can you provide a time when you felt you
were not living your “true self”? Why did you have to live a life like that?
What did you do about it?
For me I have no experience that I’m not living my true self. However,
only when my grandfather died, I was so depressed that time but I am
on myself in that time. I have no something to put here in this
question because I still have no time that I felt I am not living on my
true self.
5. What social pressures help shape yourself? Would you have wanted it
otherwise?
Social pressure that help shape myself is yung pagkakatulad,
pagsunod o yung tinatawag nating comformity. Gusto kong maging
unique at to be on myself so napag-isipan ko na sundan ang yapak
ng sarili kong mga paa. I pushed my self na wag ihalintulad ang sarili
ko sa ibang tao dahil meron akong sariling personality. Maraming
social pressure ang maihaharap saatin para madagdagan ang mga
learnings natin at kapag nalampasan natin iyon matutupad at
mahahangad natin ang dreams o goal natin sa buhay ng
matagumpay.
6. What aspects of yourself do you think may be changed or you would like
to change?
I am a shy person and afraid to show my true self. So I want to
change and let myself be more confident and true about my feelings.
Ayoko nang maging mahiyain sa maraming tao kaya babaguhin ko
ito. Hihiwalay ako sa mga toxic people at hahayaan ang mga
negative thoughts in my life para hindi tayo o ako maimpluwensyahan
ng kung ano ano at dapat focus sa goal mo. I’ll be competitive to
myself. Uunahin ko ang pag aaral ko at ang pamilya ko para
maramdaman nila yung love and care ko for them. Sila lang ang mga
kasama ko sa bahay kapag may times na nasa maling landas ako. I
want to show them how important they are in my life. So I’ll change
myself be more productive, confident and lalong lalakasan ko ang
pangangatawan ko para sakanila. This may out of the topic but I just
want to share this.
