the best CT at the most
economical price?

Choose the right CT ratio (Primary current) for


quality
The preferred use range of the CT should be between 40% to 90%
If you want to measure 100A nominal current and if the current
can go up to a minimum 60A, then ,you can select a 125/5A or
150/5A CT.
Do not go below 20% and above 90% use range when selecting a
CT.

Select a trusted CT manufacturing partner


For a quality CT, select a manufacturer who follows the right
manufacturing and testing standards. Newtek is committed to

Consider the accuracy class & error at the
percentage of Rated Current. (IS Standard
2705/1992)

As can be seen, if you are using class 1.0 CT,


the allowed percentage ratio error:
AT 120% is 1%
AT 100% is 1%
AT 20% is 1.5%
AT 5% is 3%

Selecting the right secondary current between 5A or 1A


-The rated secondary current could be 5A or 1A
-For use in local situation it is 5A
-For use in remote situation it is 1A
