Who is a freelancer?

A freelancer is a self-employed person, who do not need to follow a 9 am-5 pm working hours.
He provides his services online and get projects.

What is freelancing?

Learnt one or more skills and provide them to the world through the internet. Post your services
and find clients to get orders.

Types of freelancing:

There are two types of freelancing:

• Traditional: In this, clients or buyers post a task or project and freelancers or sellers go to
the particular project and bid their proposal. Like Upwork, Guru and Freelancer.
• Non-traditional: In this one, freelancers or sellers post a skill on the platform and then
clients or buyers will come to the job and contact them. Like Fiver and Workchest.

Essentials of Freelancing:

• First of all, install Grammarly and add an extension to your chrome.


• Learn skills if you don't have any or eager to learn something new from learning
platforms like Udemy, Bitdegree or YouTube (paid or free).
• You must have a portfolio to showcase to the clients. In the case of freshers, they need to
create a portfolio first.

Fiverr:

• Fiverr is a non-traditional marketplace. It has some rules and you must have to follow
them. There you place your services and buyer will contact you according to their
required tasks.
• Before making a gig, you have to analyze keywords for your title. The keywords should
be long-tail and in between 4500- 1000 services provides so the chance of your ranking is
possible. If you work hard on searching the keywords it will be beneficial for you.
80/20 Pareto Principle:

The principle is that 80% of wealth is owned by 20% of people. If you put 80% effort into
research before starting work so that only 20% struggle will be required further. The success rate
surely is 80%.

Making a gig on Fiverr:

Search the top-rated gig on Fiverr and review their gig. Do not copy the gig but practiced it as a
reference.

• Title: Insert the keywords you found in your title.


• Category: Select the main category related to your skill and subcategory too.
• Tags: Use the best tags related to your gig.
• Pricing: Offer you service in three categories and set the other details you want to offer.
• Description: Write gig description, used reference gig description and applied your
keywords.
• Question: Write a question, you think your client might ask you.
• Gallery: Add three pictures for your gig and a video if you want. Upload the images or
video, named them by using your gig keywords. The picture size is defined.
• Publish: Publish the gig. Some gig requires a test to publish like content writing.

Images and videos editing:

Canva is the best option to create images and videos for the gig. It is easy to use and save time.

Also, use pexels for images (no copyright issue to use images).

Traits to rank and conquering projects:

• Viewership: Share your gig on all social media platforms. More views on your gig, the
higher chance to rank.
• Online 24/7: Stay online 24/7 increases the chance to conquer order.
