Tell me about yourself

I am currently a first year PGDM-IB & Marketing student at FORE School of Management, I have
done my graduation in Information Technology from St. Thomas’ College of Engineering &
Technology, Kolkata last year and after that I have worked for a brief time in the industry as a web
developer before opting for this MBA degree. While in College, I have published a research paper
titled Sentiment Analysis of Product Reviews of Ecommerce sites in my graduation. I worked as a
volunteer in a mental rehabilitation center known as turning point organization. I have worked as a
sales and market research intern in social notebook digital marketing agency where I have had the
achievement of generating and converting the biggest lead in the 2 years history of the company.
And I am currently working on a Marketing and strategy live project in the Design-Tech and strategy
venture Pablo Project. Apart from this I am optimistic person and I am always full of enthusiasm and
I consider myself to be a good multitasker.

I am from Kolkata.
I am an optimistic person and I am full of enthusiasm. I always take initiatives
in all the group projects.
I am an excellent multitasker, I have been doing a Sales and Market Research
Live Project from Social Notebook where I search, shortlist and then generate
leads and act as a mediator between the digital marketing team and the client.
What is IT
Information technology (IT) is the study of computers to store, retrieve, process, and manipulate
data or information.

Why MBA from BTech

I believe MBA provides a Holistic learning experience and helps me gain an
edge over my peers. It will help me transform my career by providing more
opportunities. Being an engineer, it is important that I add additional
managerial skills to complement my technical abilities. Now with my
experience and a clear vision in mind, I believe this was the right time to give a
kickstart to my career by pursuing an MBA.

Why marketing?
The bottom line of any business is to make money and marketing is an
essential channel to reach that end goal.
Before joining college when I was pondering over the fact whether I wanted to
do a MBA, I did some basic research about the subjects and did some self-
introspection. I found marketing to suit me the most. I am an outgoing person
and I like to meet and interact with new people. This is exactly what marketing
demands. Apart from this, I also adore creativity and the creative world of
brand management and advertising attracts me.

Why this company?

I am highly passionate about pursuing a career in marketing and I think the
best way to move forward would be to get practical working experience in a
reputed Company like ________ which is one of the biggest names in
Marketing. I want to learn and acquire skills which will be helping me by
shaping me as a valued professional in this field. I am an excellent multitasker
so I am confident of delivering quality work throughout the tenure of the
internship if given a chance.

What do you do in your social notebook digital marketing agency?

I operated in the B2B sector and as a part of my internship, I was required to conduct
extensive market research and collect data of potential clients. I was required to generate
leads, followup with the leads and convert them eventually. In my 3 months tenure of the
internship, I have the achievement of generating the biggest lead in this company’s 2 year’s
history.

Computers are replacing most of the blue collar jobs creating fear of loss of a
job. Impact of technological change on labor: The use of the machine increases
the efficiency and performance by eliminating human errors and risk factor.

Yes, Technology is making us feel less human:- ... We are outsourcing the
activities that require intelligence to technology. Thinking, remembering things

Strength: Full of Enthusiasm, Patience: Can stay calm under stress, Team player,
Perseverance, Excellent Multitasker
Weaknesses: Gullible: Have believed people on their face value and suffered in projects due
to them avoiding their commitments.; Bluntness: Have said on face if something isn’t right
with the process, or way of handling things.; Self-criticism: Take too much toll on myself at
times, fill my plate with a lot. With the goal of just achieving the “perfect” everything, keep
correcting and then self-criticise a lot, sometimes.
Opportunity: I always like new opportunities. I do well with change. I never shy away from a
challenge.
Threats: I don’t let threats bother me. I try to understand what is behind any threat so if I do
make a mistake then I can avoid it the next time around. If i make a mistake around a
person and I’m somehow the threat then I’m quick to apologize and honestly state their was
not intention behind my mistake.
