    The pandemic does not only damage the economic flows of the countries, it also damaged
    personal lives of every people. As this pandemic continues, a lot of problems seem to be neglected over
    the years and is now surfacing due to this current issue. For instance, in the Philippines, the main issue
    here is the incompetence of the current government for not fulfilling its responsibilities in taking actions
    during this time that a lot of problems arise, in particular the public health of the Filipinos. Due to the
    increase in the numbers of positive COVID-19 cases, countrymen are advised to take a swab test
    especially those who travel and leave for work however, most swab test are not accessible and free
    since the government is yet to establish a program for massive testing. According to CNN Philippines,
    DOH secretary Duque said that the range for swab testing in private laboratories range from 4,500 to
    5,000 pesos and for public laboratories starts at 3,800 pesos. These amounts are not budget friendly
    mostly for those workers who are only earning at minimum wage. It is the manifestation that the
    accessibility to the public health of the country is neglected.

    These are some steps that I present to be able to solve this issue.

    I. Ensuring adequate funding for public health.


    II. Stabilize individual insurance for healthcare such as PhilHealth.
    III. Address the shortage of public hospitals and its equipment.
    IV. Establish hospitals in areas near the mountains where health care is not accessible.
    V. Encourage fellow countrymen to educate themselves about the essence of public health.
