RAMON S. ANG
Ramon S. Ang is the Vice Chairman since January 28,
1999, President and Chief Operating Officer since March 6,
2002, of San Miguel Corporation. Ramon Ang is a
Mechanical Engineer, a Business Magnate, and a
Philanthropist. He also holds, among others, the following
positions: President and Chief Executive Officer of Top
Frontier Investment Holdings Inc.; Chairman of the San
Miguel Brewery Inc. and San Miguel Brewery Hong Kong
Limited, Petron Corporation, Sea Refinery Corporation, and many more. He also owns a

In the early 1980s, Ramon was recruited to become the general manager of Northern
Cement, a firm controlled by the elder Cojuangco. Later, he was appointed as a trusted executive
of San Miguel Corporation, the country’s biggest beer, food and packaging company which was
then controlled by Cojuangco. As President and COO, he engineered the diversification of San
Miguel into unrelated industries such as petroleum, infrastructure, and power generation.
Personally, he invested in hotel and property development, cement, and a host of other
businesses.
In 2010, Ramon opened one of the biggest cement production plants in the country. It is owned
by Eagle cement Corporation, a company he personally controlled. In 2017, he entered the
newspaper industry by acquiring Philippine Daily Inquirer, the country’s largest daily. For his
visionary leadership, significant and long-term contributions to the country, and unprecedented
response to the COVID-19 pandemic, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) president and chief
operating officer Ramon S. Ang (RSA) was given the prestigious Lifetime Contributor Award for
the private sector at the 2020 Asia CEO Awards, touted to be the largest business awards in the
country and Asia in recent times.
San Miguel Corporation (SMC) was originally founded in 1890
as a single brewery in the Philippines. The Company has since then
transformed itself from a beverage, food and packaging business into a
diversified conglomerate with businesses in fuel and oil, energy,

GERONIMO Z. VELASCO
The late mechanical engineer Ronnie Velasco was
winner of the 1977 Management Man of the Year Award, first
president of Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC). He
was chairman of Republic Glass Holdings Corp. which used
to own the pioneer factory supplying 70 percent of Philippine
glass requirements for home and building construction since
1956. The firm sold its shares in Republic-Asahi Glass Corp.
to its Japanese partner Asahi Glass in 2001. Velasco was a
protégé of the smart yet controversial American Jewish self-
made tycoon Harry Stonehill, who tasked Velasco in the late
1950s with building the Philippines’ pioneer glass
manufacturing factory. Velasco also served as energy minister from 1978 to 1986, implementing
President Marcos’s then strategic goal of reducing Philippine dependence on imported oil. He
managed Stanvac, a branch of Standard Vacuum Oil Company of America. This company was
bought out by the Philippine government and converted to Petrophil. He became the chairman
and president of the Philippine National Oil Company, which imports billions
of dollars' worth of crude oil needed by the country.
The Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) is an energy company
created on November 9, 1973 as a government-owned and controlled
corporation founded under martial law President Ferdinand Marcos' era to
supply oil to the Philippines. Since then, its charter has been amended several
times to include exploration, exploitation and development of all energy
resources in the country. Philippine National Oil Company explores, develops,
and generates geothermal steam electricity. The Company also mines coal,
refines oil, and explores for oil and gas.
SATYA NADELLA
Satya Nadella, in full Satya Narayana Nadella,
(born August 19, 1967, Hyderabad, India), Indian-born business
executive who was CEO of the computer software
company Microsoft (2014–until now). Nadella attended
the Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet before going on to the
Manipal Institute of Technology, which was then part of
Mangalore University, in Karnataka. He received his bachelor’s
degree in electrical engineering from the university in 1988.

Denise Gray is President of LG Energy Solution

Symposium Nov. 14.

Jeff Bezos , byname of Jeffrey Preston Bezos,
(born January 12, 1964, Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S.),
American entrepreneur who played a key role in the growth
of e-commerce as the founder and chief executive officer
of Amazon.com, Inc., an online merchant of books and
later of a wide variety of products. Under his guidance,
Amazon became the largest retailer on the World Wide
Web and the model for Internet sales. His successful
business ventures have made him one of the richest people
in the world. In February 2018, Bezos was elected to
the National Academy of Engineering for "leadership and innovation in space exploration,

Apple CEO Tim Cook graduated from Auburn
University with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering
and earned an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School
of Business. Following a 12-year career at IBM, Cook went
on to executive roles at Intelligent Electronics and Compaq,

named Apple's new CEO, taking over the position for former CEO and Apple co-founder Steve

DENNIS A. MUILENBURG
Dennis Muilenburg joined Boeing in 1985. He served
as president from December 2013 to December 2019, as
CEO from July 2015 to December 2019, and as chairman of
the board from March 2016 to October 2019. Until July
2015, Muilenburg served as vice chairman, president and
chief operating officer of Boeing, where he supported the
company's aerospace business operations and focused on
specific growth enablers, including important global
