LP Science

The lesson plan teaches preschoolers about animals and their young. The teacher will show pictures of animals like pigs, chickens, cows and ducks, and have students identify them and their sounds. Students will then be grouped and asked to say the sounds. The teacher will review what animals can be found on farms, and present pictures of mother animals like pigs, chickens, cows and ducks and their babies called piglets, chicks, calves and ducklings. To conclude, students will sing "Old McDonald" and have a matching exercise to pair mother animals with their young.
