ACTIVITY NO. 1 Think and share a Filipino song, music, musical instrument or literature that inspired you the
most and explain why.
Filipino songs don't really inspire me to be anything, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Yearly by Ex Battalion. It
motivated me to be the best version of myself to everyone I know and don't know. The song's theme is all about brag
to their detractors about their successes, and it made me feel like I shouldn't be let down by wasting my time
weeping over people's insignificant negative comments.
Choose a Filipino folksong, folktale or folk dance and discuss its

evolution, changes or revision until the present time.
Cariosa, in 2020, Filipinos are already producing remixes or mashups of this Filipino folk tune. Some may utilize the music
and add rhythms, while others may create lyrics for it.
A. Write personal opinion about the various art forms mentioned in this lesson. (15pts)
Musical Instruments
My own view on Philippine instruments is that they are quite distinctive, that we Filipinos have kept them
effectively, and that some people are still interested in learning more about them.
Dance
There are several types of dance in the Philippines, particularly in our various traditions and tribes. They
have their own style and procedures to follow. The longer we practice these dances, the more style we
develop.
Literature
We have many forms of style in literature, and where we use it. It represents our pride and joy, for being
filipino with our uniqie tradition and style if literature.

1. How do music and dance influence Philippine cultures? (5pts)
Folk dances are significant because they maintain Philippine culture and pass it along to future generations.
One essential purpose of music among indigenous Filipinos is to commemorate or celebrate significant
milestones in the human life cycle.
2. What is the significant role of Philippine Literature to the lives of present generation Filipinos? (5pts)
Because they are written by other humans, they can evoke strong emotions in a person or group of people.
This is a tool for Filipino readers who are proud of their origin, history, culture, and culture.
1. How does Cordillera region promote creativity through their musical instruments? (5pts)
As an exhibition of flowers, which Baguio and Benguet are known for, the street-dancing participating
schools represented the subject, “Blooming Forward: A Showcase of Philippine Flowers,” in their costumes
to advertise their clothes and instruments.
A. Improvised Musical Instrument
Directions:
1. Make your own improvised musical instrument through any available materials you can find in your
house that you think are best for making musical instrument.
2. Video shoot yourself while playing your improvised musical instrument through any of the given Filipino
folksongs.

3. You may play your musical instrument with or without singing your chosen Filipino folksong.
4. In your video presentation, state a short description about your musical instrument such as the
materials you used for making your improvised musical instrument; the making process; or
short demonstration on how to play your improvised musical instrument
5. Save your video on your google drive and submit its link on Schoology (LMS). (Please make
