    I. Directions: Write a reflection paper about “JOURNALIST IN ME” Use the spaces
    provided below.

    Journalism is a vital cog that is circling the whole world to help people know what is happening
    and what might happen soon, the power of one word will create an effect that might change
    the future of the world. Those people who spread awareness around the world are journalists.

    I am still a student, set forth to do the same as these renowned people who the majority of the
    world believes so. I am aware that it will be a bumpy journey as I am still inexperienced and
    immature. I have no confidence and might encounter situations where my determination will be
    measured. But as a student who chose this path by myself am prepare for what I might
    encounter along the path I've taken.

    I am lacking the characteristics that are essential for a good journalist. I am very much aware
    of my skills, but since I am still young. I still have a chance to refine myself and hone those
    skills. Knowledgeable, intelligent, must have a way with words, knows how to communicate
    effectively, professional and confident are only a few skills I must acquire if I wish to follow the
    footsteps of distinguished journalists.

    With dedication and determination. All of the skills that I lack will surely bloom when all of my
    efforts have paid off. Nothing in a path of a career is an easy endeavor. One must be aware of
    their weakness and enhanced those weaknesses to be their strengths. To be one of the people
    whom the public believes every word and information they release, I must be a person who
    they can trust with. In that time, I will be a proud Journalist.
    II. Direction: Write your own “CODE OF ETHICS” (at least 10)
    CODE OF ETHICS

    1. I SHALL BE TRUTHFUL ON EVERY INFORMATION THAT WILL BE RELEASED IN MEDIA AND OFFERS ONLY
    LEGITIMATE DATA TO THE PUBLIC.

    2. I SHALL RESPECT THE PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED.

    3. I SHALL ALWAYS SHOW COMPASSION TO THE PEOPLE.

    4. I SHALL BE AWARE OF MY RESPONSIBILITY ABOUT THE WORDS I WILL SAY AND ENSURE THAT IT WILL NOT
    BRING HARM TO ANY PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT INVOLVE OR MAY BE INVOLVED.

    5. I SHALL BE CAUTIOUS WHEN IT COMES TO RELEASING AND GATHERING INFORMATION AND CERTAIN THE
    LEGITIMACY BEFORE IT GETS PUBLISHED.

    6. I SHALL BE FAIR, OPEN-MINDED, AND BALANCE THE PUBLIC'S VIEWS TO AVOID SHOWING FAVORITISM
    AND BEING BIASED.

    7. I SHALL NOT BE INFLUENCED BY ANY BRIBES OR LET MY MATTERS AND INTENTIONS AFFECT MY WORK.

    8. I SHALL BE ADAPTABLE AND FLEXIBLE IN ANY SITUATION I MIGHT ENCOUNTER.

    9. I SHALL ALWAYS REMEMBER MY SAFETY AND MINIMIZE THE HARM I MIGHT CONFRONT.

    10. A JOURNALIST WILL STAND TALL AND PROUD, SHOWING PROFESSIONALISM TO THE CITIZENS WITHOUT
    FAIL. A DIGNIFIED STANCE WILL LEAVE AN EXPRESSION THAT MIGHT HELP YOUR REPUTATION.
