 Rizal was a far greater man and a far greater hero than most of us have
so far conceived him. Of all our honored patriots, he loved and served
most our Motherland. But in the perspective of universal human welfare,
his humanitarian services were infinitely more than merely national. It was,
in the truest sense of the word, international. His Spirit helped to guide
American policy away from the road of imperialism to that of altruism. And
his struggle for human dignity and human emancipation was at once the
beginning of the struggle of all Asia, and eventually of all subject races, for
human dignity and freedom. Also Rizal will therefore greatly enhance his
immortal memory and improve the friendship and amity that bind us with
Asia and the rest of the world.

What is your personal stand regarding the approval of the Rizal law?

◾So important was the observation of Rizal Day that President Quirino approved
on June 9, 1948 Republic Act No. Jose Rizal's vast role in the attainment of the
nation's freedom led to the issuance of Republic Act 1425 on June 12, 1956.
Commonly known as the Rizal Act, it was sponsored by Senator Claro M. Recto.

What is the relevance of this law in our nation buiding?

◾The Ultimate Means at Nation- Building is National Unity Rizal's greatest

contribution to the building of Filipino nation was his untiring efforts in urging his
countrymen to work together for national unity, a condition for national survival.
Any man who refused to fight injustice is not for the welfare of society.
Exercise 2: What is your JUDGEMENT?
Where will you stand the following issues? Church or Government
1. Death Penalty- Church, because it's in the bible that when you kill a person, then
you disobey God's order or command. I'd rather choose life in prison because
he/she would suffer more, then he/she would still have a chance to do such right
things or I should say, he/she can still change his/her life to be a good person or
citizen.
2. Divorce- Government, I'd rather agree with divorce only if the reason for divorce
is justifiable such as domestic violence. If the marriage is toxic and puts the lives
of people in it, then divorce should be considered.

3. Legality of Same Sex Marriage- As a religious person and been raised by a

Christian family, I don't agree with legalization of same sex marriage however, I
am not against their relationship or romance, I just don't find it proper to see
people of same sex getting married even one of them will dress as how a bride
and groom dress like.
