Back Log TS Notification 2021
Applications are invited in the prescribed form for the posts of BACK-LOG ASSOCIATE/ASSISTANT
PROFESSORS in the following departments. For the application format, Prospectus with eligibility
criteria, experience, registration fee and other details, please visit the University website,
www.aknu.edu.in. Filled in applications, along with Registration fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five
hundred only) paid by way of Demand Draft Drawn in favour of the Registrar, Adikavi Nannaya
University, Rajamahendravaram should reach the undersigned on or before 31.08.2021. The
earlier notification No. 6/2017 dated 13.09.2017 stands cancelled.

the UGC (approved by the Government in G.O.Ms.No.14 Higher Education (UE.II) Dept. dated 20-
2-2010 and contained in the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of
Teachers and Other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the
Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2010 vide letter No. F. 3-1/2009 dated
30.06.2010) and University Grants Commission (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of
Teachers and Other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the
Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) (4th Amendment), Regulations, 2016, G.O Ms. No.
38 Higher Education (UE) Dept. dated 23.06.2016 for the posts of Associate Professor and

Minimum Qualifications prescribed for Appointment of Associate Professor:
1. Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
2. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed).

5. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based
Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in this Regulation in Appendix III.
3. A relaxation of 5 marks may be provided from the 55% of the marks at the Master’s level
for the SC/ST category.
4. A relaxation of 5 marks may be provided from the 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D.
Degree holders who have passed their Master’s degree prior to 19 th September 1991.

2. The Qualifications and other conditions shall be applicable as stipulated by the UGC
regulations as amended from time to time.
3. The candidate is required to fill in the Proforma enclosed to the application form invariably,
giving full details of his/her academic record, etc. If the space provided in the application for
the qualifications to be furnished in respect of each column is not sufficient, a separate sheet
may be attached and the information noted marking the column number against it.
5. Self - attested True Copies of all the testimonials, Educational qualifications, Date of Birth,
Caste, Experience, etc., should be enclosed. The original certificates should be produced at
the time of interview and at the time of joining, if selected.
6. (a) Applications from the candidates who are employed should be sent through proper
channel accompanied with a letter of consent obtained from the Employer concerned.
(b) Teachers actually in the employment of the Adikavi Nannaya University shall apply
through proper channel to the post advertised by the University, if they wish to be
considered.
(c) If the applicant is selected for the post he/she will be appointed to the post on the
minimum pay of the time scale attached to the post and no protection of last pay drawn in
the previous employment will be given unless the Selection Committee which selects him/her
specifically recommends such protection and the appointing authority accepts it.
8. Experience and qualifications will be reckoned as on the last date for submission of
application that is 31.08.2021.
9. Applicants for the posts of Associate Professor shall submit the API score based on PBAS set
out in "University Grants Commission (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers

and Other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of
Standards in Higher Education) (4thAmendment), Regulations, 2016."
10. Candidates selected for the posts will be governed by Contributory Pension Scheme made
applicable to all the newly appointed candidates, as per G.O.Ms. No.653, 654 & 655, Finance
(Pen) Dept., dated 22-09-2004. However, Revised Pension Rules for the University Teachers,
1992 as per G.O.Ms.No.276, Education (UE.I) Department dated 02-12-1993 and
G.O.Ms.No.227, Education (UE.I) Department dated 2-12-1993 shall be made applicable to
those who are in service and governed by Revised Pension Rules for the University Teachers,
1992 with amendments made thereof.
11. If the authorities decide to interview the candidate, he/she should arrange to be present at
the place fixed on the date and time specified at his/her own expenses. The summoning of a
candidate for interview conveys no assurances whatsoever that he/she will be selected or
recommended.
12. The selected candidate will be posted in any of the three Campuses of Adikavi Nannaya
University (i.e. Rajamahendravaram, Kakinada, Tadepalligudem or newly establishing
campuses)
13. The University reserves itself the right to fill or not to fill the post without assigning reasons
what so ever.
14. Filled in applications in all respects should be sent to the Registrar, Adikavi Nannaya
University, Rajamahendravaram – 533 296, Andhra Pradesh, India, by Registered Post /
Speed Post so as to reach the University office on or before 31.08.2021 by 05.00 P.M.,
together with a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) towards
Registration Fee drawn not earlier than 31.07.2021 in favour of “The Registrar, Adikavi
Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram,”
15. The application super scribed on the cover as “Application for the Post of ------------------------
in the Department of ------------------------.
16. The application in any way received incomplete or received after the prescribed date will be
liable for rejection and no further correspondence thereon will be entertained.
17. The format (FORM OF PARTICULARS) attached to the application is to be filled in by the
Applicant and make 10 (TEN) Xerox copies of the same should be enclosed along with the
application.
18. There is no provision for the sale of applications at the University or elsewhere. Applications
