Activity: Self Reflection:

1. What resources are working with my students?

Learning materials are important because they can significantly increase student
achievement by supporting student learning. This process aids in the learning process by
allowing the students to explore the knowledge independently as well as providing repetition.
Effective usage of proper learning resources help students to construct more than superficial
knowledge that is building in depth knowledge in particular subject.

2. What challenges have I encountered this year? What did I do / not do to improve the situation?

I feel very challenged to come up with innovative and creative ways to implement my plans or
strategies for an effective learning. In a way, this is my comfort zone because I get to explore
and extract my creativity. Learning really depends on the effort exerted by the students on their
studies. In these trying times, I can do my role only that I cannot touch my students because this
school year is not necessarily traditional face to face learning in the classroom. So for me,
learning could happen anywhere as long as both the teacher and the students are committed.
Collaborative effort of teachers and learners together with the community is needed to success
this year education.

3. What materials have been successful with my students?

MODULE USE IN TEACHING AND LEARNING

GROUP CHAT/MESSAGES

4. What ways can I improve my teaching?

If teachers were considered to be the soul of education, lesson planning is the heart of teaching.
Teaching without plans and preparation will likely be seen as negligence of duty as a public

school servant. Lesson designing, looking the right tools, knowing your learner’s traits and
recognizing the learning styles, commitment and skill in developing effective and unique lesson
designs are the ways to improve my teaching. In this process, I can manipulate the content by
integrating necessary strategies and or innovation if I think such integration will benefit the
learners. This also allow as me to answer the entire content and can alter components
addressing the specific needs of the learners because not all the students learn in the same
way.

5. What ways can I help my students make more progress?

Every educational leader wants to improve student achievement. I can help my students to
make more progress by providing or improving the primary tools such as use of effective
assessment data and best teaching practices. My final piece of advice is to encourage everyone
on our school to be involved in promoting student learning

My professional Goals:

My Professional goals is to continue to not be only competent in my profession but also excel in
it. As teachers, we all want to grow — that’s why we like to make professional development
goals for ourselves. Goals help to keep us in check and lead us to self-improvement. The role of
a teacher has many dimensions, and oftentimes it’s easy to get overwhelmed and stressed out.
Setting professional development goals can help alleviate some of those negative feelings and
make you feel better about yourself and your career. It should be on going process that
continues throughout an individual’s career. It can help teachers to become better at planning
their time and staying organized. This ultimately makes teachers more efficient and gives time to
focus on students than the paper works and effective professional development affects
students. Student learning and achievement increase when educators engage in effective
professional development focused on the skills educators need in order to address students’
major learning challenges.

Training I need:

 Mentoring
 Personal Development Workshops
 Planned Structured Behavior Change
