Before using the SCOPE-CLEANER please make clear that you have studied all safety and installing instructions. Keep safe all
instruction manuals and safety references so that it is ready to hand for future use. Please follow all operation and handling
instructions. All warnings have to be observed do not use aggressive or alcoholic detergents. Use exclusively a moist cloth for
cleaning the external case in connection with a paintmild detergent or disinfectionliquid. Only operate the device with the
operating voltage specified on the type designation plate. If you are not you itself over the present one main voltage secure,
please, talk with your housing technical services or your electrician. Electrical devices in direct proximity (e.g. Handy) can lead
to the electro-magnetic influencing of the SCOPE-CLEANER. Never let penetrate foreign body into the interior device.
Osculating contacts standing under tension can lead for a short circuit what can cause a fire or current stroke. Do not spill
liquids on the device.
Not undertake the experiment to repair the device itself! The opening or removing coverings can trigger a current stroke as well
as other hazards. Leave the complete maintenance operations to of our qualified technology department. Alcoholic liquids must
not be pumped through the disinfector. Please keep the cleaning instructions of the endoscope manufacturers. In order to you
avoid obstructed channels and the following disinfect ion process will be simple and quick. Check tightness of your endoscope
before connecting it to the disinfector. Check the gaskets of the valve seats, never screw in valve seats without any gaskets or
with defective gaskets
This apparatus has been tested by TÜV and is constructed according to safety class I, type B. It is to be used
in rooms where the wiring complies with the VDE regulations.

Starting
Remove packing material before starting. Take care that the apparatus is only used in accordance with these
operating instructions. Check the voltage and frequency instructions of the apparatus and compare them to your
power supply. Put main cable into the built-in plug on the back panel and into the main output.
Connect the four tubes, according to colour code, to the disinfector.

3. Disinfection
ATTENTION ! All tubes are filled with disinfectant and the obstructed tube is under pressure.
What then? Very simple, you squeeze the tube immediately connection to the endoscope and remove it.
Put the tube into the disinfect ion solution and let it slowly go.
Apply the same procedure to the other tubes.
Redress now the obstruction, e.g. using a cleaning brush.
Channel check
Air bubbles appear at the distal end. All channels are clear, disinfect ion and cleaning start.
Neutralisation
1. Lay down the endoscope in waterfilled tank
2. Hang on the aspirator tube
3. Push malfunction on “AUTO”
4. Set time clock for about 5 – 7min. (eg. gastroscopes 5 min.)
Drying
1. Release water, or remove endoscope from tank.
2. Malfunction on “Hand”
3. Set time-clock for 10-15 min (due to time of usage)
4. Switch off apparatus; press power button 0 (off).
ATTENTION! Due to cavities in the control part (according to type) there can be some liquid left in the
air/water valve.
Hold control part so that all valves show downwards, unscrew the valve seats and agitate
control part slightly.
Fix suction and air/water valve again. Set time-clock and blow out the rest liquid by using the
air/water valve or us usually by light-source supply.
Your endoscope is now disinfected, cleaned and dried. Remove all connecting tubes.

4. Repair
Pressure control does not work or operates too early. (Only for SCOPE-CLEANER Type 10)
At the backside of the apparatus there are two holes for adjusting pressure control. With the help of a little screwdriver the moment
of operating can be changed by a slight turn to the left or to the right.
Remark: The manufacturer is responsible for the safety qualities of the apparatus, only if installation, expansion,
adjustment, alteration and repair are executed with persons authorised by the manufacturer and if the
wiring conditions of the room in question comply with the VDE-regulations and if the apparatus is used in
accordance with the operating instructions.

· Please take care that the tap water must be examined regularly for germs.
· The membranes and the innertubes of the device must be exchanged every year. In the case of germination an exchange of
these parts is unavoidable. The spare parts are to be noted from the parts list.
· Please use only disinfectant that corresponds to the list of disinfectant of the DGHM and or to the orders of the endoscope-
manufacturers.
· We recommend the effort of enzymatic cleaners. Those are effective against amylases and Proteases in order to destroy a
Biofilm and to avoid a Biofilm.
· In case of that the SCOPE-CLEANER is not running for more than 12 hours, we recommend a so-called “self-disinfect ion”This
practice is also recommended by the endoscope-manufacturers for the endoscopes. Also do not forget to autoclave the
connection tubes daily. They can be autoclaved with 134°C (2 bar/18min) . We recommend to change all the connection tubes
yearly.
· To obtain a better control of “self-disinfect ion”, we developed the protocol-printer that records not only the disinfect ion
procedure of the endoscopes, it gives also to your employees a control of the last use of the SCOPE-CLEANER´s. In addition,
after a “self-disinfect ion”of the SCOPE-CLEANER´s a report will be printed out so that you can be able to put this report to
your files.
· Alternatively we recommend, in case that you do not use the SCOPE-CLEANER during the weekend, to power on the SCOPE-
CLEANER and pump for a short time disinfectant through the channels and tubes. Please take care that all airbubbles, which
can be in the pump-chambers, are pumped off. After this procedure power off the SCOPE-CLEANER. Do not detach the tubes
from the device, this have the effect that air-bubbles comes into the circulation and affects negative the disinfectant. So please
and let the tubes connected so that no air bubbles reduces the effectiveness of the disinfectant. In this case you do not need a
“self-disinfect ion due to the reason that disinfectant remained in the device over the weekend.

Þ Memory chip for typing 9 endoscopes with serial-no. and 1 for borrowed
or foreign endoscope
Installing instructions
Connect the power-supply of the record-printer with the source of current. Then plug in the device-cable of the power-supply into
the current-consumption of the record-printer (Power). The record printer is now ready to work. It shows the date, time and serial-nr
(date and time are ready adjusted).
Setting up the thermo-paper
On the backside of the record-printer you will find a take in where you please put the beginning of the paper in. You will see that the
Paper will now be transported automatically into the record-printer. If you push the key “P.-feed”the paper will move forward.
Changing the time or date
Push the key „U/V/W. In the display the first number now of the date sparkles. Now you can overwrite date and time with the keys
With input of the date in 1999 you have to enter the 9 as year final number. The cursor directly goes in this situation after pressing
the 1 automatically to the end of the year final number. With input of a date with beginning 20.. you have now to begin with the
penultimate date. Therefor you have to enter now after the input of number 2 the two ends of the year numbers like 01 for 2001.The
flashing signalling further breaks automatically. With input of the last number the display goes back into the readiness position.
Sample:
1. Connect the power-supply of the record-printer with the source of current. Then plug in the device-cable of the power-supply
into the current-consumption of the record-printer (Power). Connect record-printer with disinfection device with the date cable in
the corresponding sockets (for record-printer connects date-cable to 'input', for disinfection device connect the other end of the
date-cable.
2. Enter SC no (number of the disinfection device). The input is not necessary for the application of the printer
4. The record-printer is now in pressure readiness and the disinfection device can be started.
5. A report printout is only possible if the disinfection device has run at least 30 seconds. It also lasts 30 seconds until the printer
listing is generated at the completion of disinfection.
6. Always after printing the record must be select again the endoscope serial number.
Caution:
During a false selection of the endoscope serial number and after confirmation with the key 'OK' there is no correction more
possible. The printer must then be shut down (currentless) and the complete process has to be repeated again!
