The Supply Chain Management Conference

Integrating Information Technology (IT) into the Supply Chain Management Process
13-14 April 2011, Balalaika Hotel, Johannesburg

Conference Overview
It is an undisputable fact that the world is shrinking day by day because of technological advancement. Customer expectations are
also increasing and companies are prone to much uncertainty. As a result organizations find their conventional supply chain
integration expanding beyond their peripheries. The strategic and technological innovations in supply chain will impact on how
organizations buy and sell currently as well as in the near future. To achieve functional integration within the supply chain,
information technology that manages product flow, information flow and cash flow from end to end is indispensable. It is with such
a background, that this conference will bring together professionals dealing with supply chain management, procurement,
purchasing and logistics to deliberate upon current trends on the integration of information technology into the supply chain
