Course Description
New Headway Plus Special Edition Pre-intermediate contains a great variety of activities
covering all the skills in integrated balanced skills work. All the texts for listening and reading
come from authentic sources and simplified to suit the course level. There also a section for
Everyday English which focuses primarily on aspects of spoken English.
Course Goals
This course briefly revises level A2 before covering approximately half of the competences
required for level B1. Trainees who successfully complete this level should be able to
demonstrate a linguistic range (lexical, grammatical, and phonological) at level B2 of the
Common European Framework Reference (CEFR)
Upon successful completion of this course, each trainee will be able to:

Communicate in common, everyday situations within the KSA and in a global
arena. Students at this level will take 1 Math, 1 Science, and 4 English courses. The
curricular basis for this level is New Headway Pre-Intermediate with English for
Drilling Purposes 3 as supplementary material.
Sit for the IELTS and successfully achieve a score minimum of 4 ranging to 4.5.

Classroom Protocol
Level 3 course is based 4 English classes a day each lasts for 50 minutes.
The trainees must follow the listed classroom protocols:
Tardy trainees are not allowed to enter the classroom after the class starts
Phones and other electronic devices are not allowed to be used unless they are permitted
by the teacher
No food or drinks are allowed into the classroom except for bottled water
Trainees should bring all the necessary material (Notebooks, Textbooks, pens, pencils,
…………etc)
Bathroom breaks are not allowed while the class is in progress
