OBJECTIVE
1. The aim of this standard operating procedure is that proper collection method is employed when using va-Q-proof packaging solution during collection of refrigerated drugs.

DEFINITIONS / RESPONSIBILITY
Shipper - A customer that exports the shipment
Consignee - A customer that imports the shipment Air Operations - ECX air operation staff / Validated partner operations PIC - Person-in-Charge Transporter - Transport vendor / ECX that collects / deliver the shipment
PROCEDURE
Before collection using the Va-Q-Proof series ensure the following stationaries are available.
Bubble Wrap to Protect the Drug Cable Tie

Ensure vacuum insulated panels box are
in good condition before collection
Panels surface should have a tight
“vacuum” texture
If panel surface is smooth, leakage may
have occurred
Activate a multi-use logger for proof that
the temperature is correct
Place the single-use logger (pre-condition)
that accompanies the shipment inside the pre-conditioned box.
At collection side before loading the drugs,
open the box and show Shipper the multi- use logger as proof of the box correct temperature
Before placing the drug, ensure that the
drug outer packaging is in pristine condition.
Bubble wrap the drug for added protection
before placing into the box, this is to prevent the PCM from touching the drugs as well as moisture
Activate the temperature data logger

Ensure adequate bubble wrap is used to
prevent the drug from moving inside the core box.
Place the top accus into position and do
not force the accus into position
Finally, close the lid, ensure that it is
securely in place and do not force into position.
Secure with cable tie
