SCHOOL YEAR 2021 – 2022

I. Project/Program title: Opening of Week of Classes (Oplan Balik Eskwela 2021 – 2022)

II. Objectives: 1. to welcome the new school year with joy and safety;
` 2. to perform various activities in relation to the opening
of the school year; and
3. to encourage the parents/students to follow safety
protocols as mandated by the IATF.
III. Date: September 13 - 17, 2021

IV. Persons Involved: PNHS Teachers, Non-Teaching Personnel and Stakeholders

V. Narrative Report:

The Department of Education (DepEd) is bracing for another extraordinarily challenging school year due
to the continuous outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. As we face unprecedented
time, DepEd still firmed that education must continue.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this school year 2020-2021 will use a combination of methods, from
online classes and printed learning modules to use of TV and radio. Teachers were already prepared for the
opening of the school year 2021 to 2022 under the "new normal" setup as they were trained to handle different
modalities such as online distance learning.
Prior to the opening of the classes, the teachers of PNHS proudly suited their Facebook profile pictures
with the customized frame to show their eagerness and excitement for the coming school year.

On September 13, 2021, at exactly 8:30 a.m., Pulungmasle National High School teaching staff kicked off
the soft opening of classes with a theme “Bayanihan para sa Ligtas na Pagbabalik Eskwela” by welcoming
parents and stakeholders following health protocol such as social distancing and wearing of face mask to school
premises. It was shown that the parents were excited and looking forward to the best interest of the school. The
day started with an opening prayer by Ms. Arvelyn B. Manalang, followed by the singing of the Philippine
National Anthem led by Mrs. Dianne Karl M. Malig, the oath of government employees was led by Mrs. Mildred
M. Canlas. Mrs. Claire Ann C. Almario shared her words of wisdom and finally Mr. Mark Oliver Flores organized an
energizer for the body. Later on, Mrs. Sienna D. Panganiban, the school principal gave her welcome message as
well as reminders, rules, and policies of the school. Thereafter, some representatives from the LGU/Barangay
Officials also gave their words to the people present in the venue.

The Department of Education had its National School Opening Day program from 7:30 to 9:35 in the
morning via its official Facebook page. The program was headed by none other than our secretary Leonor
Magtolis Briones. The teachers of PNHS got a glimpse during the live broadcast albeit they are attending our own
school’s opening program. Below are the agenda tackled during the program:

After the kick off program, the teachers grouped themselves by grade level and they discussed the
pointers/agenda they will bring out to the parents staring tomorrow.

After the grade level discussions, the teachers headed back immediately to their respective offices to
prepare and print modules and other materials that are intended for the learning of the students.
