Hello and welcome to e-learning at Froebel’s International School! We will be using Google Classrooms
to deliver our virtual classes. Here is a brief guide to help you navigate your way around this
application. If you require further assistance, please feel free to contact us at
[email protected].
JOINING A CLASSROOM
● You will have received an invitation from your teacher in your email inbox.
● Click on the invitation to join the class.
● You will find class assignments, instructions, and feedback in Google Classroom.
CLASSWORK
● Google Classroom is designed to be organized around the Classwork tab. Please click on Classwork to
find the organized list of activities and assignments.
● Each assignment is labeled with the subject, the task number and the date on which it was posted. For
example: URDU.Task1.30th March 2020
● You can filter the subjects by clicking on the topic title.
● Click on "View assignment" to view the full directions. Note the date that the assignment is due.
Tip: Hold down the CONTROL key when you click on ‘View assignment’ to open assignment in a new tab.
This way you can close the assignment when completed and easily go back to the Classwork page.
● You may leave a private comment in the bottom right bubble for the teacher if you need to ask a
question. This goes only to the teachers of the classroom.
● Please share ideas and ask questions to others in the classroom in the class comments.
● Look at the icons on the assignment stripes. If they are grey, it means you have MARKED AS DONE or
TURNED IN. The blue icons indicate you still need to turn in that task.
● Each week when new activities are posted you will receive an email notification. Click on the
assignment in the email and you will go directly into the class.
● Please be in the habit of checking ‘View your work’ at the top of the Classwork page. This will show
you which assignments you have completed. You can also filter for missing assignments.
OR on the class Stream, look for the upcoming work bubble.
Click on “View all” to find your assignment list.
● Once you click on ‘View your work’, you will see a list of your assignments with the status on the right
hand side.
● Once the teacher receives and reviews the student’s work, he or she will RETURN the assignments. If
the teacher adds a note when he or she returns an assignment, you will receive an email notification of
this. The note will be in the email so you do not have to go to Google Classroom to read the note. Feel
free to delete these emails once you have seen the note.
