● I would use it for the well- being of others that are especially in need.

1. How do you feel as you do a debit card challenge?

I would feel very thankful for this opportunity and very happy that I can buy or afford anything that
I needed. With this I can also do the thing that I wanted the most which is giving gifts to other
people or strangers. I will be very happy if I could help people in need and help children have things
that they couldn’t have.

2. Which among the items in your list you like the most? Why?

Among the things that I listed I would like to give my family members a gift the most to show them
my love and thankfulness. I want to make them happy in the form of materials that could be very
important to them and that could be they needed the most.

3. If ever you were given the chance in real life to have one among the list, which
would you choose? Why?

I will be happy to choose giving and donating to charities, churches, etc. because I always wanted to
do such a thing but I couldn’t so if I have the opportunity I will always make it come true. I will help
even with the simplest thing possible.
ACTIVITY XI
Write at least 2 paragraphs for each item

1. What are the basic ethical issues to consider when sharing personal information in
social networks?

The first thing to consider in sharing information in social networks is to make sure that
you do not overshare your information. Many people nowadays are using social media so
we must make sure that we know our limitations in sharing information to others so that
others won’t take advantage of it.

Oversharing information can cause you danger that it can disclose all your personal
information or events you’re going even your personality so we must make sure that we
won’t overshare things with others. As the pandemic arises, many share information
without limit to still be in the trends and to know what they’re friends are doing. Doing this
can only harm your privacy.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the data privacy act of 2012?

The disadvantages of data privacy act of 2012 are the following;

1. Ban social networking sites

2. Imprisoned for ‘Likes,’ ‘Retweets’
3. Someone is watching your every move in social networks

The advantages of data privacy act of 2012 are the following;

1. Having reinforced data privacy processes will help pave the way for better business
practices in companies and more opportunities in attracting potential investors.
2. Private information will be handled with utmost confidentiality.
3. Protect personal digital data of private and public entities, specifically those that are
dealing with offshore businesses.

3. Explain why privacy and confidentiality matter in one’s life.

Privacy is a matter in one’s life as it is about their personal information that they either
don’t want to share with others or vice versa. Privacy and confidentiality can be used to
determine their reputation that a single wrong information to you can damage the view of
others. And having confidentiality can maintain the appropriate social boundaries.

Also keeping confidentiality or privacy can boost someone’s trust to you. They will trust
you in regards to business, personal, professional and etc. Knowing one's information can
be used to control their life. We must be very careful in sharing our personal information.
Leakage of personal information may also be used for extortion and blackmailing so we
must know the limit of what we are sharing to others.

4. What can you do to help prevent and effectively manage the spread of identity
theft, false information, and fake news in the country?

As a person without much power to change our country the only thing that we can do to
help prevent and effectively manage the spread of identity theft, false information, and fake
news in the country is to make sure that we check what we are sharing, we must make sure
that the information is true before sharing it. We must make sure that we are not being
used in spreading false information and fake news by researching first if that one info is
legit or not. We must make sure that we are among those people that will help the country
survive the crisis of fake news by supporting legal sites or networks in giving out news.

We must make sure that the information we are sharing is from the authority or credible
source. As a student I can help in securing our information by joining campaigns regarding
the protection of our personal information and privacy by enlightening others about
oversharing and knowing our limitations in social networks. That single step can make us
knowledgeable about our datas.
