Easy Step Guide for School Candidates
IMPORTANT: If you are below 18 years old, the registration should be done by your parent/ guardian.
Step 01:
Log on to the link provided by your School administration.
*Please note that you are not eligible to use the general link, which is available for the private
candidates, you must only use the specific link which is provided by your school .
Step 02: Please sign in

Please click on ‘Log in’ (on the top right corner of the page)
• If you have registered with the Schools Registration System in a previous exam series, you may use
the same email and password to sign in. (If you cannot remember the password, click on “Forgot
Password” to receive your password to your registered email address.)
• If you are using the Schools Registration System for the first time, click on “Sign up” to create your
profile.
Step 03: Register for an Account

If you are below 18 years old at the time of the registration, please be advised that your Parent/Guardian
should complete this section with his/her details (First Name, Last Name, Email, DOB and Password) and
candidates above 18 years old should enter the candidate’s details.
• Enter your first name: This refers to all the names other than your surname/last name
• Enter your last name
• Enter your email address (please use a valid email address as results login details and some exam
related details will be emailed to the given email address at the registration)
• Enter the password (should be alpha-numerical and at least 8 characters)
• Confirm your password
• Please read and Tick on “I have read and accepted the Account Registration Terms and Conditions”
• Click on “Complete Account Registration”
An activation link will be sent to your given email address. Therefore, please login to your email account to
activate your registration profile. (Please use a desktop/laptop computer to activate the profile if the activation
fails from the mobile phone)
Once the account activation is completed, refresh the page and click on the customised registration link
again. Log in by providing your username and password. (Please do not proceed adding subjects and
candidate details in the same link sent for profile activation)
Step 04:
Select the country “Sri Lanka” from the drop-down list
Click on “Continue” button
(Please make sure that the school name appears at the top right-hand corner)
Step 05: Search for Exams

• Select awarding body as Edexcel
• Select session as November 2021
• Select qualification level as International Advanced Level or IGCSE
• Select the location as Colombo or Kandy
• Select subjects from the drop-down list by clicking on the field in front of “Subjects” that you intend to
take (note that option codes are not visible at this stage)
• Once you select all the subjects, click on “search” button
Step 06: Search for Exams cont.…
• Select the correct option code relent to each subject by clicking on “Add to basket”.
• Once you have chosen the correct subject/unit/option codes, please click on “Proceed to Basket”
• To remove a subject/option click on “Remove from basket” button
• To add a new subject/option click on “Add Another Exam” button and repeat the above steps
• Click on “Register and pay now” to proceed further
Step 07: Candidate Details

• If you are the candidate and above 18 years old, select “Myself” or select “Child” if you are doing the
registration for your child.
• If you have selected “Child” please select the relationship to the child from the drop-down menu.
• Also, you need to input your contact number if you have selected “Child”
• Select the candidate’s title from the drop-down menu
• Enter candidate’s first name, (This refers to all the names other than your surname/last name)
• Enter candidate’s last name.
• Enter the date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy) of the candidate
• Select the gender of the candidate
• Fill in your mailing address (one address only) in lines 1,2,3,4 accordingly
• Enter your city (should be part of your address)
• “State” and “post code” are not mandatory though you can f ill in accordingly
• Select the country “Sri Lanka” from the drop-down list
• Enter your telephone number - mandatory
• Enter your mobile number – mandatory
• Click “Next” to proceed
Very Important:
Please give your consent regarding the candidate leaving the exam hall unaccompanied
Are you happy for your child to leave the exam premises unaccompanied at the end of the
test?
• If you select “Yes I give my permission” you can proceed by clicking “next” button
• If you select “No I want to specify who will pick them up” please f ill in the details of the person
who will picked up the candidate. You may add more than one person
• Please click on “The child will be over 18 at exams day” if the candidate will turn 18 years old by
01 October 2021.
Step 08: Candidate Details Continued – Read ‘Important Information’

• Select your identification document type from the drop-down list.
Acceptable Identity Documents are Passport and NIC only
• Key in your ID number accordingly
• Key in your ID document expiry date (for NIC, please tick “My National ID does not have an expiry
date” and proceed without entering expiry date)
• Enter your ID issuing authority (i.e. Department of Immigration and Emigration (DIAE), Department of
Registration of Persons Sri Lanka (DRPSL)
• Enter of any representative/agent (i.e. Off icer of Immigration and Emigration, Commissioner of
Registration of Persons or Head of Postal Department)
Step 09: Candidate Exams

Very Important:
• Enter your Unique Candidate Identifier (UCI) if you have done any Edexcel exams previously.
(Entering a wrong UCI or not entering the UCI at all will result in your results not being captured
under the correct UCI and will affect the subject awards(grades) in the future)
• Do not enter anything for Unique Candidate Identifier (UCI) if you are registering for an Edexcel exam
for the first time.
Step 10: Summary Terms and Conditions

• Place read terms and conditions and tick against “I have read the terms and conditions”
• Click on “Accept T&Cs”
Step 11: Select Payment Method
Offline
method:
o Click on “Pay another way” and click on “Continue”
o Make a note of your reference number
o Click on “My Registrations” on top of the page
o Click on “Summary” and then “Print” to take a printout of the registration (only if required)
o Alternatively, you can Login to the same Schools Registration System (SRS) later using the given
email address and password to take a printout of the “Registration Summary” by following the above
two steps
What to submit to British Council:
o Copy of the previous results sheets if you are applying for cash-ins
