My full name is Httl ,everyone call me linh.i

was born and raise in qn which is a coastal province in the key economic development region of central region.i come from
a big family of 7 .At the moment, i am a college student and styding at hue university of foreign language.My majoy is
E.i enjoy learning E,I fiind it very interesting and a new experience for me.and i love it and i can comunicate with foregn
language and i think i can get a good job if i speaking e well.My hobby i like the most is listening to music.i find it very

I chose lesson 1 to talk about offbeat job and will answer some questions for this midterm exam

First I want to talk about what offbeat job means

Personally, I think unusual job is something different, new, or maybe a new experience.......

I believe offbeat jobs can best be described as “unique”. They are the jobs that most people with a college degree probably
wouldn’t consider in the real world. An offbeat job is not for everyone, but it could be perfect for you; it could lead them to
unexpected opportunities.

Tennis is one of my favorite sports. You know, I play tennis in the park every day, sometimes with my
partner and sometimes with my father. My partner introduced me to it since it is a sport that he enjoys
and needs someone to play with. I didn't like it at first since it was difficult and I wasted a lot of time
but I now like it, especially when I beat my lover

Who do you live with?

I live with my family. There are 5 of us and we all have our own room, which is way
more comfortable as the older we grow, the more privacy we need for ourselves. I
think our house is big enough for us yet still a warm and cozy place that I call home.

do you live a house or a flat

I live with my family in a house, it's a home with one story. There are three bedrooms, one living
room with a couch and a television, in which my family spends the most of their time talking and
watching television,.and it has a kitchen with a dinning table and a big garden.My house is light and
spacious especially the summer is very cool.because living in the countryside ,it is very quite and
peacefull.

well.i think it also depend on the weather.if the weather is kind of hot,it would be perfect ,if you put
on a sundress with floral printed pattern on it.and if the weather gets a bit chilly.i would definitely go
for a long wool coat which would be stylish yet functional.

Food

i would say that i am not a picky eater and i can eat like the whole universe.but if i have to choose i
would say that pho.pho is my favorite food.Ph is a Vietnamese traditional dish. Pho is popular not just
among Vietnamese people, but also among international visitors to Vietnam.they all love it

My ideal ai đí ồ career is to be a tour guide. I chose this employment for a variety of reasons. First
and foremost, I want to travel to new places and learn about diverse cultures. Second, working outside
in a cool environment is something I appreciate .finally,i choose this work because of the big
compensation .
Actually, I don't have any plans now, but after graduation, I hope to work as a tour guide.I know it's a
bit ambitious. Then I'll settle down in my life.I wish I could earn a large sum of money to assist my
parents.

1...why do you think some people like offbeat jobs?

in my opinion,they find it interesitng or maybe it experience with their job.They want to do something that's the other
doesn't want to. It make a difference to the others.they tend to very confident around risk taking and work well under
pressure

2.......what job skill do you think are the most disfficut to learn?

in my opinion,tiime management is the hardest skill to learn.We can hardly divide our time rationally and effectively .for
example........

if we manage ours time well,we will able to get the job done quickly and efficiently

,in conclution,,,,Time management is important because it helps you control your workday so you can build your business
without compronmising your work-life balance.

3......What skill do you think are the most imoportant for student to learn so they can find a job or start a career in
the future?

.....Comunicaton is the most important skill that students should and must master.

What does communication mean?

Communication is the process by which we exchange information between individuals or groups of people.It involes
listening to other,building trust ,and respecting other people opinion and poins of view,,,i can see,usually good
comunicators suceed faster

Communication plays an important role in human life. It not only helps to facilitate the process of sharing information and
knowledge, but also helps people develop relationships with others. Therefore, the importance of communication cannot be
underestimated. Every day, we communicate with many people including family, friends, colleagues or even strangers. We
should learn to communicate effectively to make our lives better.

and lastly i want to say that

This topic of unusual work I think is very novel, it made me think, People work for a living. But not everyone can do
unusual jobs. I think they are brave and maybe they want to be creative and they want to challenge themselves or maybe
it's because they want to make a lot of money .Everyone has the right to choose the job they want

1 Do you think it’s better for students to live at home with their families, or away from home?

I feel that living alone is preferable phờ ri phé rơ bồ to remaining with one's parents. First and
foremost, kids learn to live independently..They start to see life from an angle that they never had even
thhough of.secondly living away from father requires student to manage mái nịt ch their budgets.Not
only that student will learn confidence and they will become more responsible.That's why we will
learn how to spend thriftily and know how to organize spending in a reasonable way

Living away from home is a journey that will help each of us grow more mature every day.

2.What do you think is the most important factor in student success?

i think, persistence is a key factor to success.You know,if you do not persistence when you have a
problem,it is easy to fall down and become discouraged

I think the most important factor in student success ispersistence.you know Anyone starting out
will face challenges, setbacks, and want to give up. However, if you do not persevere, try to practice
every day, with any job you will not be able to do it. Results are only achieved when you put in the
effort, set a goal and are determined to achieve that goal.in addition Persistence makes you more
optimistic in life .you know Optimism is a factor that helps you think more positively in life, aim for
good goals and hold the key to success. And persistence is also a factor that affects and determines the
optimism of each person. You stumble, you fail but don't give up, you persevere to the end, you
believe that everything will surely succeed. It is that perseverance that creates positive thoughts, helps
you become happier and more confident in life. And only when you are optimistic can you judge and
make the most accurate decisions for everything.

encouraged and coforted me

What are some challenges that you have to face as a student?

I live in a low-income family so money is always a problem, especially when I became a student and
lived far way from home. I have to work part-time job to earn some money to pay my daily expense.
Living alone now means I also have to do all the cleaning and cooking as well. I found it was really
difficult in the first few months, but it’s all good now.

What are some activities that you often do at the same time?

I’m quite an active person. But for doing things as the same time, all I can think of right now is doing
home assignments while listening to music. I find out the when I listen to music, I make me less stress
and be more focused and I finish my assignmentz quicker as result.

what do you think about opinion that we should limit the time texing and using social media

That's a good concept, in my opinion. Today, not just students, but even adults, spend practically all of
their time communicating on social media. I think that is not good, it will waste a lot of your time;
instead, let's do something better.. It distracts us from studying. As a result, ,we need to limit the use
of social networks, I think that what is important should only be texted or in free time should only be
used a little to help relax after a long day.

1.Do people in your culture buy and sell used stuff? If yes, where? If no, why not?

Yes of couse...currently,Purchasing and selling uesd goods is a popular activity. .They often buy and
sell on social media or in second hand stores.I think they find it very Affordable

2.What kinds of things do you only want to buy new? What will you buy used? Why do you do
so?

i want to bu uy a new laptop,because i think if the old computer has a small defect it will become
more and more serious and i think i also dont get the warranty when i buy it old and i think its better
to buy new .

i like to buy used books.I usually buy them on social network or at used bookstoris.i think it very
cheap,TBH,im an avid reader so i dont have money to buy new book so buying used book is my best
option.

3.What are some of the advantages of using old stuff?

i think the use of furniture helps to save cost,not only that but also helps to protect the environment

How can you save your money?

There are many ways that can help you save money. Firstly, you can save money by reducing your
unnecessary items purchasing. Secondly, you can also save money by buy only products that have
discount or on sale. Lastly, you can also share or trade items with your roommates and friends.

What is the best way to pay for things when you want to save money?

Best way to pay for things when you want to save money is buying online. There are many reasons
behind this. The prices of goods online are quite cheaper than prices in shops and markets. Not only
that, there are also a lot of vouchers online that can help use reduce the price further. There are also
free shipping voucher on special day as well.

meal of the day? What kinds of food do people usually eat? Home-cooked? Take out? Fast food?
,in my view,nowaday,fast food is very popular.so i think they find it very convenient for those who
dont have time to cook.So most people eat more fast food instead of eating at home

Breakfast is my most essential i sén chồ and biggest meal of the day. This is because during
the night, your body has used up all of your leftover energy. A balanced breakfast will help
us replenish energy. A full breakfast will make your body stronger and full of energy. It
surely will make you ready for another busy day working and learning.In addition, a healthy
breakfast can reduce the risk of disease

2.Do you enjoy eating foods from different countries? Which country’s food do you like best? Why
do you like it?

Of couse,i have a profound passion for french cuisine.You know,french cuisine is famous
everywhere for its mouth-watering dishes,unique combinations of wine in processing and enjoying
dishes,contributing to deepening the flavor
3.Give some examples of fast foods and explain why you think it is healthy or unhealthy?
Popular fast foods include fried chicken,french fries,spaghetti,pizza,grilled sausage,hot
dog...you know,FF is becoming more popular around the world because its cheap and
convenient.However it also has its advantages and disadvantages.The first is advantages of
fast food .its convenient because it help us save a lot of time.In addition, fast food is thought to
be delicious and not expensive.However beside there are some disadvantages when people use fast
food ,junk food may have adverse effect on one’s health because it contains so much salt,fats, and
calories. Moreover,ff is an important contributor to obesity.Most children who eat too much of this
food suffered from obesity and lifestyle-related diseases.

.Fast foods are processed and fast-serving dishes.Every thing has advantages and

Fast food are the food that do not take much time to prepare. IT IS convenient. we can eat

,attractive colors , attractive aroma THAT IS suitable for the taste of most young people.
most of fast food customers are teenagers because theY always crave attractive processed
fastfood.Fast food often has special promotions for attractions customer.

The second things are disadvantages , fast food contains many calories and cholesterol, so it
is likely to cause obesity for those who eat too much. Besides, studies show that regular
consumption of Fastfood and carbonated soft drinks, soda is not good for the liver. Ham,
sausage, bacon, sausage, fried chicken contain high levels of salt and preservatives.
Therefore, if you eat too much, it will harm your heart, kidneys, and increase blood pressure.
The main ingredient is starch, proteins, fats, vitamins are all very low. Therefore, up to 60%
of people who regularly eat instant noodles suffer from nutritional deficiency
diseases.Fastfood is delicous food but it is dangerous therefore we don’t use too much
fastfood to protect yourself .

What are some unhealthy eating habits?

 I think eating too quick is the most common unhealthy habit. This could hurt your stomach.
Eating a lot of sweets also a great issue. This could cause your body to gain weight and there
is even risk of diabetes. Busy life makes people eat a lot of junk foods as well. These kind of
foods are really bad to your body. All type of cancers can be developed after a period of time
you eat these kinds of food.

What are some problems caused by unhealthy eating habits?

A high-calorie, unhealthy diet will cause your body to build up fat, increasing the risk of
heart-related disease and diabetes. Meanwhile, a poor diet can also lead to some serious
health problems. For example, some people try to lose weight unnaturally by cutting more
than half of their daily meals. This could be really bad as your body may not gather enough
energy to work. Some people are even fainted and have to go to the hospital because of this.

What is your biggest meal of the day?

Breakfast is my most important and biggest meal of the day. This is because during the night,
your body has used up all of your leftover energy. A balanced breakfast will help us replenish
energy. A full breakfast will make your body stronger and full of energy. It surely will make
you ready for another busy day working and learning.

Think of someone you admire and introduce him/her to me. Your talk should be included the

Can you tell who can be called everyday heroes?

My mother surely can be call an everyday hero. She take care of me and my siblings, prepare
our meal, clean our room, look after us when we get sick without any complaints. She always
sacrifices her needs for us. We always had new clothes on special days such as birthday, new
year,… while she rarely got one herself one. I’m really forever thankful for my mother. To
me, she is my most awesome hero.

Do you volunteer in your community? What is it? If not, what kind of volunteer work
do you like to join?

Yes, I do volunteer work in my community. Every two month, our local youth group will
hold a cleaning project in our local park. We will pick up trash, clean the road. We also plant
new trees and flowers. There was one time we paint the wall in the park with beautiful
pictures in order that no one will consider them the spots where you could just dump your
trash there. It’s really fun. I’m glad that I can help our society in some way.

Name a person you know who has courage. Why do you think this person is brave?

I think my friend, Minh is a brave one. I remembered that during the great flood last year.
There was one kid in my neighborhood somehow got trap in the swift water. He was crying
and everyone was so worried since it seemed like he was about to be swept away in any
moment. My friend, Minh took action immediately. He jump into the fast-moving flood water
toward the kid. The kid then was safely rescued. His parents thanked him greatly and I was so
 proud of having him as my friend, the one who had courage to risk his life to safe an innocent
kid.

Do you like playing video game? Why or why not?

yes....I occasionally use my phone to play video games.I normally spend 30 minutes playing
the video game let me hair down after a hard working day ., I think it's not harmful to play
video games and and it also has many benefits.It aids in the development of the brain,
improves focus,not only increases problem-solving abilities, but also improves foreign
language.

What are popular technological devices that many people are using today?

Currently,technology is becoming more advanced.so there are many technological devices

born to serve us.And, as far as I can tell, the majority of people nowadays use phones or
computers. I think it's very convenient

Technology can help us to stay healthy

the use of technology helps us in many ways. first , it helps you to have a good night sleep.

Playing games has both positive and negative aspects.But first, I'd want to discuss the
benefits, lest people wrongly believe that playing games is wholly terrible. playing games are
considered an instrument of sound mental and physical health.fisrt of all,Some video games
are played in a group which creates a challenging environment for children and they learn
how to win the game and be successful. From an educational perspective, these games
encourage imagination and creativity, as well as concentration, logical thinking and problem
solving, all of which are useful skills outside the gaming context. Secondly, it will help
develop children's brains, for example, those who play jigsaw puzzles or solve puzzles
require thinking and agility.Finally, it also helps us learn foreign languages when playing
games, there are many games that are only in English, so we can easily learn new words.

What should people do to preserve endangered languages?

Currently, there are many languages in danger of extinction so we need to protect that language, we
have many ways to protect it such as we can propagate and encourage people to use that language.
It is recommended to teach and participate in language classes.teaching and participating in language
classes are excellent ways to keep a language alive.it will help students remember that language .
Besides, we should emphasize our mother tongue and use them often to avoid being forgotten by
people.more importantly, you need to use them on a regular basis and raise awareness about the
endangered language.

What do you think about learning English? How will it help you now and in the future?

i confess that learning English is difficult for me,,I see studying English as a personal
challenge and i find it very interesting.i think learning E is very important and you know it
has many benefit in the future.For instance,you can good interact with local people when
travel to ther countries. you can get a good job with handsome salaries and learning E will
help you understand different cultures communicate with people from all over the world and
observe habits that are different from yours. e is one of the most important language for
business

Do you think learning English will threaten (hurt) your native language?

It is difficult to deny that English is now extensively spoken in many places of the
world.Therefore, I am afraid that the mother tongue will be in danger of extinction.

 Yes, It has definitely changed a great deal since I was small. A lot of tall buildings
have now emerged and constructions are underway. Many roads have been built and
more vehicles are seen on the streets. New schools and hospitals are constructed too.

Those signs are telling me that my hometown is actually developing quite rapidly and I am
happy with it

 Yes it has evolved from a relatively quiet city to a hub of shopping and
entertainment. There have been major developments, with shopping mall
renovations and the addition of shop lined streets leading all around the
city. There are also more restaurants and bars catering for all tastes.

To become an good English teacher

first and foremost you must be able to improve your english skills.That will help your communication
with visitors become easier to understand each other, with more depth.To learn the language well I
think you can join the above courses at the center. secodly Because as a tour guide, you always have
to meet and interact with many people from domestic to foreign guests there forre you need to hone
your communication skills, confidently interact with everyone and easily impress visitors.If your
communication is not good, you had better study some soft skillo or why not try speaking in front of a
