• webApp: Embedded webserver interface for monitoring, maintenance & diagnostics of the
RTU. Using the configuration defined in Easergy Builder and loaded on the CPU, the user can
consult and / or change some parameters through webApp. Unlike Easergy Builder and webUI,
webApp does NOT allow to add new features (and / or screens). It can only change the
information previously included through Easergy Builder using the screens already defined in
the tool.
• webUI: Web-based graphical substation user interface. This tool is composed by two different
environments, one for design-time and another for run-time:
o webUI (Runtime): Web tool running in the RTU allowing to monitor the information
using screens which were designed by the user with Easergy Builder (webUI Add-
On).
o webUI (Add-On): Additional tool included in Easergy Builder for creation and addition
of customized webUI screens. It allows to design new screens for the configuration
loaded into the RTU or to modify the information in those screens already loaded into
the RTU.
Firefox 3.5
There are two web-based tools available in SM_CPU866e: webApp and webUI.
By default, webApp is used as main web tool, that is, when the user writes https://< CPU IP
address> in the address bar of the web browser, the main page of webApp is shown.

The user can change the default landing page to webUI activating the following checkbox on the
main page of webApp:
By default, the users granted to login in webUI are: Engineer, Installer, Operator and Viewer.
NOTICE
It is recommended to change the default passwords, and in any case, follow the security policy
applicable in each control system.
See the webApp user manual for more information about the users defined in the system and the
roles assigned to each of them.

From webApp, the user can access to webUI selecting Monitoring & control webUI in the main
menu. A login window will be shown, and the user needs to have permission to use the webUI to
access the interface.
To go back webApp from webUI, select webApp in the menu tab available when 'Settings' button
is clicked.

o Timeout action (locked command or logout)
This timeout works the following way: after five minutes from the first login, the
commands will be locked and it would be necessary to login again to be able to
execute them.
In this case, the 'webUI' text in the upper right corner of the screen will be yellow.
When logged in again, the user will be able to modify the timeout and also select if
after that time the commands will be locked or if it will automatically logout. In
addition, the 'webUI' text will be white.
The timeout can be configured in seconds, minutes or hours.

Measures
Several types of predefined measurements are available to be included in the webUI screens.
Some properties of these values (font, size, associated text …) can be changed using Easergy
Builder as in explained in the following chapter of this manual.
The color associated to the value only can be configured for Analog Values and not for any other.
Each measure needs to be linked to a coreDb signal and its value will be shown in real-time in
webUI. The following list includes the predefined types with the default use:
• Analog value. Generic analog value without measurement unit. If necessary a label must be
defined to show the measurement unit. Color: White.
• Active power. Active power measurement. Measurement unit: MW. Color: Green.
• Reactive power. Reactive power measurement. Measurement unit: MVAr. Color: Yellow.

In the Configuration environment of Easergy Builder, on the main menu, select Add-Ons webUI
Configuration. If this option is not available, install the plugin 'webUI_SPlugin.msi' supplied by the
Easergy Builder installation package.
webUI configuration for Easergy Builder completes the functionality of Easergy Builder with the
necessary functions to perform the configuration of the embedded webUI system. This tool offers a
series of windows and functions to allow the monitoring and control of the system.
With these considerations, webUI Configuration for Easergy Builder allows to configure the screens
included in the system, as well as the graphical objects that will be represented in each of them.
Figure 33 – webUI Editor.
The webUI Editor is shown as one more tab in Easergy Builder (marked in blue in the figure
above).
This window has five different areas:
• Zone 1: A toolbar that includes a series of buttons with the following features:
o Show or hide the different areas of the editor.
o Show and hide the design grid.
o Manage and use the graphical display repository.
o Access to the editing help tools (object alignment).
o Preview the selected screen.
• Zone 2: Name and description of the screens created in the system, presented in a
hierarchical way.
• Zone 4: Editor area, where the user can design the aspect that will show in real time the
screen selected in zone 2.

• Alarm mode: Indicate if the point generates alarms or not. It is possible to select the alarm
level that applies to it. See section 2.4.2 for more details.
• Point type: point type indicator. There are two types of points:
o SP: Single point. The value of the associated signal can be 0 or 1.
o DP: Double point. The value of the associated signal can be 0, 1, 2 or 3.
• B1, B2, B3, Element e Info: texts associated to the engineering information of the points.
• A2 label: Text to be shown when the value of the signal is 2 (double status signals).
• A3 label: Text to be shown when the value of the signal is 3 (double status signals).
2.3.1.1 Alarm
Each status signal configured in the webUI can be configurated to generate alarms for a specific
value or when the value change.
When a status signal is marked as Enabled, by default, Alarm mode field is None, that is, no alarm
will be generated for this point.
To configure a status point to generate alarms, press on the field Alarm mode. For example:

Alarm Condition
In field Alarm mode, select the signal value for which the alarm will be activated.
• On: An alarm will be activated when the signal is ON. Depending on the Point type, single (SP)
or double (DP), the alarm will be activated when the signal value is 1 (SP and DP).

• Off: An alarm will be activated when the signal is OFF. Depending the Point type, 0 for SP or 2
for DP.
Alarm Level
In field Alarm level, select the level of the alarm to be generated.
Only Default level is available by default. Press button in order to create new levels or edit any
of them:
Use button in this window to create new alarm levels. The following information must be
configured:
• Active color: Color of the row in the Alarm list. While the alarm is active, the alarm will be show
with this color (blinking or not depending of if it was acknowledged or not).
• Inactive color: Color when the alarm was deactivated but not acknowledged.
• B1, B2, B3, Element e Info: text fields for engineering information.

• Point type: point type indicator. There are two types of points:
o SC: Single command. When this type of point is used, the element can be changed
between 0 and 1
o DC: Double command. When this type of point is used, the element can be changed
between 0, 1, 2 and 3
• B1, B2, B3, Element e Info: text fields for engineering information.
• Locks: this column gives access to the configuration of the locks applied to the execution of
the command.
To configure locks for a command, press button in field Locks of the point. For example, for
command D002_00014 the following window is shown:
Figure 52 – Command lock editor
Any signal enabled for webUI can act as lock of a command. For each signal is indicated the value
that acts as a lock (Lock value), and the value to lock the command (Exe. Command).

In the previous picture, command D002_00014 is blocked by the signal D001_00000. The device
linked to the command D001_00014 can be closed nor open when D001_00000 is 0.
It is possible to remove a lock of the list using button . The application requests a confirmation
and the lock will be removed.
To add a new lock, click on the and the following window will appear:
• Point type: point type indicator. There are two types of points:
o SCA: Single command.
o DCA: Double command.
• B1, B2, B3, Element e Info: text fields for engineering information.
• Locks: this column gives access to the configuration of the locks applied to the execution of
the command, more information in paragraph 2.3.3.1. It indicates whether the command is
locked or not according to the value of the associated signal.
From the general configuration menu, presented in the following screenshot, configuration
functions that apply to the whole webUI can be accessed.
