Q1: An organization is granted the block 211.17.180.0/16. The administrator wants to create 300
fixed-length subnets.
a. Find the subnet mask that will be configured on each subnet.
b. Find the number of addresses in each subnet.
c. Find the first and last useful host addresses in subnet 1.
d. Find the first and last IP addresses in subnet 200.
e. Find the 50th and 100th IP addresses in subnet 300. (Marks 8)

Q2: Consider an organization with a given address space as 192.68.1.0/24. The organization
desires to distribute this address among CS department with 80 computers (hosts), LBS department
with 50 computers (hosts) and HR department with 20 computers (hosts). These departments are
connected with each other via 3 WAN links. Each WAN link needs 4 IP addresses including
network address and broadcast address. Design all the sub blocks including all WAN links and
provide the following information for each sub-block including 3 WAN links:

II. First and last host address
III. Subnet mask
