How much time does it take to learn ANSYS?
As far as I know both works with Finite Volume Methods.

Discretization:

In the Fluent the element is of volume of control. This means the number of control
volumes is equal to the number of elements (Cell-Centered). ON the other hand in the CFX
the volume of control is assembled around the nodes (Cell Vertex), where each element is
divided in sub volumes. As a result, the flux through each face is based on the nodal values
of element. Once subdomain contributions evaluated, nodes will accounting for each sub
volume around itself and the real volume of control is assembled. In term of grid quality
CFX is more permissive.

Analysis:

The solver of Fluent is more open and adjustable, where you have pressure based and
density based options. The coupled option is available also. In CFX the solver is almost
locked. A pressure based solver, with some adjustable key parameters. The solver is very
robust and rarely needs to have its default parameters changed.

Application:
I think CFX is recommended for turbo-machinery and aerodynamics applications while
Fluent is suited to a wide variety of problems.
