COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course covers ethical principles and evaluation of the more common business practices. It also presents the
different laws affecting business ethics. It stimulates the thinking capabilities of the learners on issues of ethics and social
responsibility encountered in business. It also prepares the learners on for social responsibility issues and help them formulate
their own standards of integrity and professionalism.

GRADING SYSTEM:

1. System: The 11 – point system is followed in giving the preliminary, midterm, semi-final, and final grades. Below is the
11 – point system with the percentage equivalents:

1.00 = 97% - 100% 2.50 = 80% - 82%


1.25 = 94% - 96% 2.75 = 77% - 79%
1.50 = 91% - 93% 3.00 = 75% - 76%
1.75 = 88% - 90% 4.00 = 70% - 74% or Conditional
2.00 = 85% - 87% 5.00 = below 70% or Failed
2.25 = 83% - 84%
Other Ratings:
INC = Incomplete NCA = No Credit due to Absences
AW = Authorized Withdrawal D = Dropped
UW = Unauthorized Withdrawal

A rating of 5, i.e., failure, is never given as preliminary or midterm grade. A rating of 4 i.e., conditional, is never given
as a final grade.

1. Computation of Grades: The instructor / professor is required to use the cumulative system of grading from one
grading period to another. The grades of a student in a subject officially enrolled shall be computed in accordance
with the prescribed norms and standards established by the College and the guidelines prescribed by CHED.

The grade of a student in college is computed as follows:


A. Computation of Grades per Period

B. Preliminary Grade
P.G. = (Class Standing X 2/3) + (Major Examination X 1/3)

 Class Standing include Quizzes, Recitation/ Participation, Assignments, Projects


 Attendance is not included in the computation of grades. But, every student is required to attend his/ her classes
regularly and punctually. The student’s absences & accumulated tardiness must not be more than 20% of the
required total number of days in class and laboratory hours in a given term. Otherwise, the student shall be
considered dropped from the subject. (Section 3.1 and 3.2 MMC Student’s Handbook College Department
revised 2011)
 For the general rules of conduct and discipline of the student inside or outside the school premises, it is governed
by the provisions under Article VI and VII of the MMC Student’s Handbook College Department revised 2011 and
Amended Grading System May 24, 2004.
 Computation is based on the grading criteria used for research papers as carried out by the Metro Manila College
Center of Research, Evaluation and Development (CREAD)

INSTITUTIONAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES (ILO)


The students should be able to:

1. Know and understand the process of integration across subject areas;


2. Discuss the learning theories supporting curriculum integration;
3. Identify the values that can be internalized during development of the lesson;
4. Explain the significance of curriculum integration in planning;
5. Compare the levels of integration used by teachers to enhance learning.

1. Instructions – offer the latest curricula in all its academic programs.


2. Research – undertakes researches towards the improvement and enhancement of the teaching – learning process
and add new knowledge and information related to it.
3. Community – reach out to the less fortunate members of the community.
4. Productivity – track graduates to maintain constant communication with them to ascertain their continued support in the
advancement of MMC’s VISION, MISSION, GOALS and OBJECTIVES (VMGO) in their own respective fields of
occupation or endeavor.

OBJECTIVES

Metro Manila College, in its effort to attain excellence in the academic community, aims to fulfill its responsibilities in the
delivery of all its programs and services.
A. Instruction. Metro Manila College shall continuously provide for:
1. Relevant and quality education through its latest curricular offering;
2. Committed, dedicated and well-trained learning facilitators and support personnel;
3. Positive teaching-learning environment; and
4. Adequate provision of modern facilities, instructional materials, equipments and tools needed in the delivery
of quality instruction.
B. Research. Metro Manila College, in its desire to enhance the acquisition of knowledge shall conduct research which
findings shall be the basis for the betterment of
Instruction and the formulation of policies geared towards academic excellence.
C. Extension. Metro Manila College in the fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility shall:
1. Share its resources through the office of Community Extension Services (CES);
2. Formulate and maintain programs for the benefit of adopted/partner communities;
3. Foster the spirit of volunteerism among the members of the academe that they may actively participate in the
institution’s effort to help uplift community.
4. Establish linkages with government and non-government institutions for assistance to the community
extension programs.

D. Productivity. Metro Manila College shall continue to maintain communication with its graduates in its efforts to put
into practice the institution vision, mission, and
Objectives (VMGO), and learned knowledge through:
1. Organization of Metro Manila College Alumni Association (MMCAA)
2. Maintenance of a complete and updated alumni database by creation of website and directory where the
status of their projects can be facilitated.
3. Mobilization of resources in realizing their continued support and show gratitude to their alma mater.
4. Establish of archive unit (MMCAU) to keep records, documents and other pertinent data, all of which
showcase the institution’s achievements
.
5. Foster of sustainable volunteerism to the community in coordination with Community Extension Services
(CES).
