POSTER MAKING CONTEST

MECHANICS
1. The contest is open to all College of Industrial Technology
Students (1st Year to 4th Year)
2. The poster must illustrate, interpret, and emphasize the theme,
“Conquering the New Normal”
3. The poster may be created manually.
a. For manual poster, the following materials must be used:
a. ¼ illustration board (portrait or landscape). Use
white background.
b. Coloring material: oil pastel or water based acrylic
paint.
4. The poster will be judged according to the following criteria:

Appearance (40%)
The poster must attract viewer's 20%
attention.
Creativity and presentation. 20%

Message / Content (60%)


Message / content is clear and 25%
concise.
Originality 15%
Purpose of the poster is stated 20%
clearly.
Conclusions is stated clearly 20%

5. Only one (1) entry per participant is allowed in this


competition.
6. Participants may submit the poster electronically
([email protected]) or through a courier, provided
that entries are received by the College of Industrial Technology
(CIT) Office on or before the deadline.

7. Submit entries on or before 5:00 PM of September 21, 2020.
8. The artist will be held accountable to any issues that may arise
with regards to the originality and authenticity of the design.
The committee holds right to disqualify entries where originality
and authenticity are violated.
9. The winners will receive the following prizes:
1st Prize - One (1) Tablet and One (1) Home Wifi
2nd Prize - One (1) Home Wifi
3rd Prize – Five Hundred Pesos (P500) worth of Load
4th Prize – Two Hundred Pesos (P200) worth of Load
5th Prize - One Hundred Pesos (P100) worth of Load

GUIDELINES FOR PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

MECHANICS:

1. The contest is open to all College of Industrial Technology


Students (1st Year to 4th Year).
2. The College of Industrial Technology Photography Contest must
capture the following: Natural Wonders, Hardworking Farmers, and
Man-made attractions.
3. The photos may be taken through DSLR, or high-quality phone
camera.
4. Participants can submit one (1) of their best photo to this
category.
5. All photos should meet the following:
✓ Original Photo
✓ Enhancements should only be limited to minimal editing which
includes cropping.
✓ Post processing like layering, HDR and the like are not
allowed.
6. Deadline of submissions of entries will be accepted up to 5:00 PM
on September 21, 2020.
7. Participants may submit the photo electronically
([email protected]) or through a courier, provided
that entries are received by the College of Industrial Technology
(CIT) Office on or before the deadline.

8. All entries must have an accurately written 3-5 sentences caption
expressed in English.
9. Judging of entries shall be on September 21, 2020

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

Relevance/Appropriateness to the theme 30%


Clarity of expression and entertainment quality of the 30%
photo
Originality/uniqueness of concept 20%
Creativity/innovativeness of means of delivering message 10%
Caption (mechanics, grammar, and appropriateness) 10%
Total 100

10. Winners will be notified by email, or by text messages, or


by phone call.
11. The winners will receive the following prizes:
1st Prize - One (1) Tablet and One (1) Home Wifi
2nd Prize - One (1) Home Wifi
3rd Prize – Five Hundred Pesos (P500) worth of Load
4th Prize – Two Hundred Pesos (P200) worth of Load
5th Prize - One Hundred Pesos (P100) worth

GUIDELINES FOR SPOKEN POETRY CONTEST

MECHANICS:

1. The contest is open to all College of Industrial Technology


Students (1st Year to 4th Year).
2. The poetry piece must be creatively and originally written.
Copying from the internet or from other sources are not allowed.
3. The piece must be written in Filipino or a combination of
Filipino and English and may be presented in free verse.
4. The piece must be free from profane or harsh words.
5. The piece must illustrate, interpret, and emphasize the theme,
“Conquering the New Normal”
6. The poem must be delivered in 5-10 minutes.
7. A copy of the piece must be submitted to College of Industrial
Technology email ([email protected]) on or before
September 21, 2020.
✓ Poetry Writing must meet the following:
▪ Files must be in PDF format.
➢ The file name should include the following:
▪ COMPLETE NAME
▪ CONTACT NUMBER
▪ YEAR, SECTION, AND MAJOR
Example: JUAN DELA CRUZ/0939*******/ 1-A AUTOMOTIVE
✓ Poetry Delivery must meet the following:
▪ File must be in MP4 Format.
8. The contestants will be judged in two phases: poetry writing and
poetry delivery. The average score will determine the over-all
score of the contestant.
9. The judging of poems will be held on September 21, 2020.
10. The judging of poetry delivery shall be held on September 21,
2020.
