Question 1
Calculate the mass moment of inertia of point-mass m about the x- and y-axes.
Given L = 2 m, m = 5 kg, and θ = 25°.

Determine the mass moment of inertia about the KJC. Where rc1 = 15cm, m1=2.5kg and radius of
gyration about the COM = 12.2cm.
Use the parallel axis theorem.
Now consider the whole leg, where l2 = 38cm. Determine the mass moment of inertia about the HJC.
Question 3
a) Determine the mass moment of inertia of a slender rod of length L and mass m with uniform
density about an axis passing through its center Y1, as shown below.
