3. Motivation - Breaking the enigma

Directions: Break the number codes to discover what the topic is all about. Each number in the code
signify a letter’s order in the alphabet. Example: 1=A, 2=B, 3=C

Task 1. The teacher will show video about comets, meteors and asteroids, and after that they will have
an activity after watching the video.

Activity: Our Differences and Similarities

Directions: Using a Venn Diagram write the differences and similarities of Comet, Meteor and Asteroid.

Activity: Fact or Bluff


Mechanics: If the give statement is True write Fact and if the given statement is False write Bluff.

 Does Comet bring bad luck?


 How can comet affect the earth?

The teacher will show a picture of a shooting star and will ask the students the following questions:

• If you find a shooting star up in the night sky, what would you do?

• What would you wish for?

• Do you think there is a connection between the occurrence of a shooting star and the realization

work for it too.”
