QUEEN KAYE’S 18TH DEBUT SCRIPT

Emcee: Hello everyone! May I have your attention please? We are about to begin the program in
– - so please find your seats and make yourselves comfortable as we all enjoy the rest of the
night. Thank you.

To our guests, visitors, relatives, the family of our debutant, friends, ladies and gentlemen. A very good
evening to all of you. My name is Johairah and I will be your host for tonight. Welcome to Lourdes Bay
Restaurant. Welcome to the Birthday Party Celebration of our charming debutant who is now turning into a
fine lady. This is quite a very important event in her life and she is very much honored for your presence.
Like Wendy in the movie Peter Pan, no more fairy tale stories every night. She is now a real lady as she
stepped onto the much higher level of what we call LIFE. We would like to thank everyone for gracing this
very momentous occasion because as they say, you only get to be 18 once. Ladies and gentlemen, sit back as
we groove, jive and enjoy her party for tonight.

Emcee: To spiritually open the program, may I ask everybody to please stand for the Lord’s Moment for our
guidance and blessings to be led by the Brgy Captain Nina Balista.

Emcee: Thank you po for that prayer. Please be seated. Once again, good evening. As we all know, we are
all gathered here tonight in celebration of a wonderful life for a girl who is now turning into a fine lady. All
of you who are here must have witnessed her grow over the years into the wonderful person she is now.

Anyway, people often wonder why the 18th birthdays are so special. The thing is, there are several milestone
birthdays in one’s life. Turning 18 means you are a grown-up person ready to make decisions and take
responsibility for your own life. Sounds exciting, right? Well, it’s also a little bit scary. Until yesterday, you
leaned on your parents and made only a few decisions on your own, and now you’re supposed to do things
independently. It’s not only confusing but also scary, as you’re not sure how to be an adult at all. Don’t worry,
that’s perfectly normal. Becoming a responsible adult is a process that requires time and a lot of experience.
You’ll make mistakes, that’s for sure, but you’ll learn from them. Although independent life is difficult and
scary, remember that beautiful things await you in the adult world. 18th birthday marks the end of teenage and
the beginning of young womanhood. It is a very special day in everyone's life because on this a person
cherishes the old moments filled with love, care and shelter but now the person is moving towards adulthood
where she will be loaded with much more responsibilities and independence of thought and expression.

Emcee: As a jumpstart, let’s have the grand entrance of the family, the 18 roses and the 18 candles. To begin
with our entrance, it is with great pleasure that I introduce to you the mother of our lovely debutant.

celebrant. Let us put our hands together, as we welcome the main highlight of this celebration, and as she
stepped into a higher level of life. Ladies and gentlemen, let us all welcome the lovely debutant MS.
QUEEN KAYE TAGUIC!

Grand Entrance of Debutant

Emcee: Wow, blooming and lovely, indeed! Asa mani siya niliwat? Mother? Father? Or both? Evidently,
before tonight, Queen Kaye has had happy years in a very happy home. The love of a family will always be
God’s greatest blessing. As what they have said, in life we can have several friends, classmates, and social
circles, but there is only one family who is always willing and ready to welcome us no matter what.
Everyone to welcome all of us to her lovely daughter’s 18th birthday party, here’s_____________________
Please return to your respective chairs ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome Remarks – Mommy

EMCEE: Thank you for that heartwarming message, Aunty.

EMCEE: Who is Queen Kaye in the real sense of word? Of course aside from being a gorgeous, talented
and responsible daughter, friend or classmate maybe, there are things that some people know but not known
to others. Let’s find out as we randomly ask some quirky, trivial and even personal questions to some of our
important guests here.

(3 persons to interview: one family member, one QK cousin, & one SHS friend)

Question for FAMILY MEMBER: *ask name & relation to debutante* Unsay message nimo sa imong ate
nga karong 18 na siya?

Question for QUEEN KAYE’S Cousin: *ask name* How did you meet? If you were to describe Queen Kaye
in 1 word, what would It be and why?

Question for Jirah: *ask name* How did you meet? What makes Queen Kaye very happy?

EMCEE: Thank you for everyone who answered.

EMCEE: For those who weren’t able to answer yet, don’t worry because I still have lots of questions for
you to be asked later. For now, we are going to proceed with the 18 Roses.

(May we request our dear bachelors and sweethearts to please proceed at the back and line up for the Roses,
you will be provided a little instruction on how we smoothly flow the 18 Roses dance). The 18 bachelors
equate the 18 roses. As the debutant receives her 18 roses let it be a reminder that like the rose life is
beautiful, however, there are thorns that signify that life isn’t that easy for there are problems to be faced. It
is up to her how she will handle these hurdles with the support of her family and of course friends.

Like a pretty flower that attracts bees and butterflies, Queen Kaye will be surrounded by 18 equally handsome
gentlemen. Each man will have the chance to hold her hand for a short dance. Just a note gentlemen: Don’t
leave our lovely debutante until the next one arrives. Let’s not keep everyone waiting, okay? If you know what
I mean.

The first dance is of course reserved to the most handsome, most loving guy in her life and of course
loved Queen Kaye at all cost. To dance with our debutant, Queen Kaye’s 1st Rose, ladies and gentlemen,
is her brother, King Van Gian Taguic!

(Read the Invitation)

EMCEE: May we call again the persons who are part of the 18 Roses to proceed in front for a picture with
the debutante.

(while the picture taking)

EMCEE: Ladies and gentlemen, the 18 Roses. Thank you gentlemen!

We just had met special different men in your life, now let’s meet some significant women in your life.
These are the people close to the heart of our celebrant, and whom she listens and confides to for
inspiring words and friendly advices. The 18 sparkles equate the 18 candles. Candle often reveal a sense
of mystery and supernatural guidance. It symbolizes security as it may illuminate circumstances. It also
signifies 18 significant people in our celebrant's life who serve as her guide as she grows up. These are
also the people who care for her and love her unconditionally. As you hear your name, please be on
stage, light your candle and give a message, like experience ninyo ni Queen Kaye together, bulgaran na
this. This is your time. Just a reminder to the ladies: After giving messages, place the candles next to the
debutante’s birthday cake.

Starting off with…

EMCEE: May we call again the persons who are part of the 18 Candles to proceed in front for a picture
with the debutante.

(while the picture taking)

EMCEE: Ladies and gentlemen, the 18 Candles. Thank you ladies!

Now, may I ask everyone to stand up once again for the CANDLE BLOWING CEREMONY. Let us all
together sing a HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG for our lovely debutante.

Queen Kaye make a wish and blow the candles afterwards. Let’s give our debutante a round of applause.

Emcee: We are nearing the most awaited part of the evening, dinner. But before we partake of the
sumptuous buffet that Lourdes Bay Restaurant catering has provided for us, may we now call on Mrs
_____________________________to say grace.

EMCEE: How’s everybody doing so far? Is everybody happy? Is everyone also hungry? There you go. Don’t
worry folks, we wouldn’t be delaying your delicious dinner any further. At this Juncture, once your table
number is called, proceed in front for a picture with the debutante and you can proceed with the dinner
afterwards. I will call everyone by table.

*D I N N E R T I M E*

EMCEE: At this moment, while some of you are still feasting on the buffet and the decadent dessert, are
we ready to move and groove? I can’t here you, ready naba mo? Ladies and gentlemen, para ma energize
mo, here’s a dance number from our debutant’s friends. Let’s give them a palakpakan!

Thank you Guys! That was awesome, sana all noh dancers. Talented jud ning friends ni Queen Kaye. No
wonder she’s talented herself.

Oh I guess, our gorgeous debutants ready now. May I ask everyone to give a round of applause again for our
lovely debutante (2nd Entrance).

Stunning kaayo oy. Miss Binuangan ni puhon.

Let’s do some ice breaker! Let’s call this “How well do you know Queen Kaye?” Gaano niyo nga ba kakilala
ang ating lovely debutant? I have with me a list of trivia or questions about tonight’s fine lady. The
mechanics is just simple. I will read the trivia and if you know the answer, stand up from your seat or raise
your hand. Oh diba oral recitation, I know you miss that guys. The person who can answer correctly will get
a prize of 1 million pesos, sa imong damgo. Alright, let’s keep the ball rolling.

According to Willa Cather “Where there is great love, there are always wishes.” For now, we are going to
proceed with the 18 Treasures.

The 18 treasures or gifts signify the 18 person that she will treasure and these gifts will be her inspiration
and armor in her journey towards fulfilling her dreams. It doesn’t matter how expensive, how elegant or
how precious the gift is, what matters most is the thought, the value and the essence that the gift contains.
These gifts are significant to the debutant and that she will truly treasure these for the rest of her life. And as
she treasures the gift, she at the same time treasures the provider.

To offer the 18 treasures, let us call in the following:

(Reads the script)

EMCEE: May I again ask everyone who is part of the 18 Treasures to proceed in front for a picture with
the debutante.

(while the picture taking)

EMCEE: Ladies and gentlemen, the 18 Treasures. Thank you mga Ma’am and Sir!

EMCEE: Now, let’s have a break. This time, we will be entertained by a special number which is to be given
to us by our debutante’s relatives who took time and effort to make this celebration more meaningful and
colorful. Without further ado, let us give a big round of applause to the Group of Miss Anna Ricka.

*insert song number*

EMCEE: Thank you for that spectacular performance. Surely, our lovely debutante is overwhelmed to see
you tonight.

Emcee: It is now time to slice the cake. May I request the debutant. As Queen Kaye has reached the age of
maturity, she will now cut the cake and give a portion to her parents as a symbol of her love and gratefulness
to them. Around of applause to our debutant!

EMCEE: Tonight’s celebration tells me that the best demonstration of gratitude in response to a wonderful
experience like this one can be contained in an overwhelming thank you. Maraming salamat po for making
me a part of this memorable occasion. And if there’s one person here tonight who is more than grateful to
see all of you, that would be our beloved celebrant, Queen Kaye. I’m giving the floor to our dear debutant to
give her message for all of us.

(Thank you message from QK)

EMCEE: What a very meaningful evening indeed for Queen Kaye and it becomes more meaningful with
all of you.

EMCEE: The night is young, and so are we, diba? Are you ready to party? We have just actually started.
Again, thank you for having me here to celebrate with all of you. Isang malakas na “Happy Birthday, Queen
Kaye!” Naman diyan. At the count of …1, 2, 3, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Queen Kaye! Truly, our debutant is
not just a pretty face but also a very talented lady.

To get the party started, throw your hands up in the air for Queen Kaye. This is your host,
Johairah, and enjoy the rest of the night everyone!
