Smart Education
Quality training is a basic imperative in the
present educational world, Innovation has
influenced us in each perspective. Innovation
profited us in each part of our life
appropriate from correspondence to instruction. In antiquated days
understudies were educated in small schools by one teacher, learned
of many arts, commonly referred to as a “Gurukul”, where they were.
Yet, this framework was supplanted by our Urban and Modern
culture.

New techniques for instructing have been presented which are called
“Smart Class”. They utilizeseinstructional material, 3D modules and
recordings. Slowly but surely, all the prestigious schools are utilizing
this idea. Presently the students are excited at this idea of
advancement and intuitive yet interesting learning process. The idea
of an all- new digitizedeclassroom has made instruction intriguing as
well as given an opportunity to students to upgrade their execution
well.

There has been a great deal of fuss about this all-new innovation.
Smart class was propelled forward by Educom in 2004. In the
underlying stages a delicate dispatch over a couple of select
geographic areas affirmed the sensational acknowledgment among
tuition based schools that everything was changing. It was produced
around the belief system that for innovation to end up a basic piece
of everyday instructing andelearning honed in schools, it needs to
come in the classrooms where the understudies and instructors invest
most of their energy. At the simple introductory phase of dispatch
numerous Indian well-known schools like DPS Pitampura in Delhi
Takshila, and Cambridge-Chain of schools were the first to receive the
program. It has been currently received by more than 1000 schools
crosswise over India and aides in a fast change of moving innovation
into our classrooms in India.
11
A keen classroom is a
classroomethat has a teacher
outfitted with PC and different
kinds of media hardware,
enabling the educator to show
a wide range of media. These
incorporate DVD's, PPT's and
savvy intelligent white board,
and that's only the tip of the
iceberg, all showed through
an information projector.
Savvy class is a computerized activity of Educom, or, in other words
the manner in which educators instruct and understudies learn. With
the assistance of school educational modules, shrewd classes get
innovation appropriate alongside the board for instructors in the
classroom. This makes taking in an agreeable ordeal for the
understudies while enhancing their general scholastic execution in
school.

A Smart Class Model

A smart class has an extraordinary conveyance show foreschools. A
learning focus is formed inside the school furnished with a whole
library and smart class’s computerized content. The learning focus is
associated with the classroom using the web. Instructors get
important computerized assets, for example, movements and
recordings, intuitive virtual labs device and so on and utilize them as
a part of their exercise designs in each class. The classrooms are well
furnished with specially crafted electronic intelligent whiteboards,
projector frameworks and PC's.
11
This smart class program is
actualized in schools by
Educom with a roundabout
basis per student, every month.
Smart class is fuelled by a huge
vault of computerized guidance
material, precisely created to meet the particular destinations and
spread out by various different learning gauges. This is consistently
populatedethrough the improvement of Educom's advanced items
and arrangement gathering. The substance vault comprises of a very
large amount of exceptionally energized, exercise particular, 3D and
2D sight and sound modules. These are worked with an educator
drive plan that enables the instructor to successfully execute the
exercise in a classroom, the modules assist the student with
understanding the ideas effortlessly, collaborate with different
learners, teachers and students alike. Encouraging learning process
winds up euphoric and helpful.

Educom has also entered into partnerships with Crocodile Clips ,

Design-Mate Eureka and Discovery Education, adding very high class
digital content resources and 3D educational videos along with
perhapsethe world’s most interactive virtual lab software, due to its
insane amount of content for teachers to completely use in the class.
The modules are implanted inea format that completely enables the
instructor to show a picked exercise in a classroom, outline by edge,
with connecting with and instructively stable enlivened arrangement
of visualsewhile holding complete a large amount of control on the
pace of the classroom. The educational modules reach unfurls from
kindergarteneto twelfth, covering subjects like Arithmetic, Science,
Material Science, English, EVS, Sociology, Biology, Physics, Business
Studies, Geography, Finance and History.
11
Instructors can likewise create their own smart examinations and
utilize during the class for evaluation. For this reason, a test-expert
device hasebeen added to the smart class appraisaleapplication.
Students are furnished with a hand-held remote gadget that is
currently shaped like pencil box, and can easily fit in one as well.

At their home, smart class framework functions as a virtualeschool,

where guardians, educators and students can speak with one another.
Instructors can transfer assignmentseand make critical data accessible
for guardians to see as well.

Animation in The Classroom

Research suggests
when youngsters
are having aeton of
fun, they have a
slight tendency to
learn much better.
It's even logically
demonstrated that
maintenance of data
is much higher
when it is conveyed
utilizing both verbal and visual correspondence. Personally, animation
as aemedium for learning offers energizing potential outcomes for
addressing all the necessities of today’s students. The utilization
ofeanimation and guidance can essentially improve studentelearning,
if appropriately planned and executed.
11
The Two Purposes of Animation in Student
Learning

The true first purpose ofeanimation in academics is to completely

fulfil a mental function. In this role, animationseare intended to
support students’ mental processes that in the end result in them
wholly understanding the subject matter. Animation can also be used
to make very interesting and funny animations in which educational
training can very easily be incorporated into well. Teachers can also
use animation to demonstrate concepts visually, adding a level of
depth to their teaching, and allowing them to show exactly what they
want to since they have control of every aspect in the animation. It
can be used to show how things come together and work together as
well.

In our science classes for example, a short animated feature can be

used to show how our moon orbits the earth, and in Arithmetic, a
short film might show a student how one can mathematically use
algebra to manipulate a specific equation using Pi. Other subjects
such as Foreign languages, Music, English, and art can also be well
explained using animation.

The second purpose of Animation is important as an effective e-

learning tool that attracts the complete attention and engages the
learner, yet sustains the motivation aspect well. Such Animation is not
onlyefocused on helping one comprehend any academic subject
matter itself, but often portrays
activities that are fun, interactive,
creative, and motivational.

The youth is extremely fascinated

by animation and its stories as it
allows them to experience
something new, along with them
enjoying the fascinating
11
opportunity to create their own new story. The true raw, creative
potential of animation is immense, and integrating animation
activities and exercises into the school curriculum gives us the
possibility ofetapping into this potential to meet a very wide range of
educational directives.

Animationeas an Effective Learning tool

-Enables students to apply their Rational thinking and Imagination.

-Lets students to create and investigate different answers for one

issue.

-Enables students to comprehend and estimate their understanding

and basic judgment in imaginative work.

-Allows positive companion communication, including accepting and

utilizing input.

-Encourageseself-inspiration to make public speaking easier.

-Uses aesthetic proficiency as a characteristic upgrade to learning

about other regions of a subject.

-Fosters inspirational states of mind toward Art and Animation.

-Introduces conceivable outcomes for one’s profession

-Emphasizes improvement of students' aptitudes and comprehension

of creating and reacting.

What students need is aneeasy-to-use Tool that

inspires creativity and allows childreneto “show
what they know.” -Educom
11
Animation training is also another factor of Digital learning, as
children learn techniques of animation along with their teachers,
motivating students and spurring their creativity

Here are a few advantages for students, depending on their schooling

level-

Advantages for Beginner Students

-Awakens the inventive capability of studentseat a youthful age.

-Perfect early on devices to learn activity.

-Can be utilized for introductions/assignments in history, science,

topography classes and also in after-school programs.

-Contributes to building good focus and helps students pay attention

in class along with having a ton of fun

Advantagesefor Advanced Students

-Strengthens yourestudents decisive abilities and increases their range
of understanding.

-Strongly influences their views to establish new ideas.

-Incorporating activity into various subjects to make all them more

captivating and interesting.

-Developing their narrative skill and aptitude.

Their Point of View

11
Due to the nature of this project, I believe I need some insight from
will be asking a few students about how they feel about Digital
Learning as a medium of teaching

Rohan Chadha, 10th Grade

-Has E-Learning become a large part of your Curriculum?

-Yes, E-Learning, and majorly, Educom has become a large part of

how my teachers teach a few subjects in school, Though mostly, the
focus is on science and maths.

-How much do you believe Educom is helping you learn?

- Personally, I am seeing a large change in the way I associate with

different subjects now, in a positive way actually, and I think it is so
because of the visual aids presented through Educom.

-Do you think there are any necessary changes to the current system
of E-Teaching?

- Yes, I believe their are several changes that need to be made with
the way Educom categorizes its educational videos and animation as
they are hard to find without someone’s help as a student. Along with
that, their are many, many videos on Mathematics and Science, but
very few on Psychology, History and our third languages like Sanskrit
and French.

-All in all, Do you believe is Educom better then other forms of

teaching?

-Well…yeah, Because through a visual format I’m able to focus ore on

the lesson, and when it isn't in the form of some boring lecture, I
actually learn so much more. I think E-Learning is the perfect tool for
our generation. As it brings together technology and learning, in a
near perfect blend, which isn't boring, but isn't just all fun either.
11
-Hansika Kumar 8th Grade
-Is E-Learning a large part of your curriculum?

- Not really, seeing as how my school hasn’t put up smart boards,

and we don’t really have much access to the internet , even in our
computer labs, and our teachers are not very good with technology.

-Do you think E-Learning, If applicable in your school, would help you
learn better?

-I..don’teknow, I think it might beebetter than normal chalkboard

classes, but on the other hand, I’m so used to this format of learning
that I don’t think changing how I learn and view subjects at such a
high level would be a very good idea. And aside from the students, I
don’t think most of my teachers could adapt to the E-Learning format
after decades of CBSE style rote-learning, And that will have a
negative effect on all of us as well.

-Lakshya Hari Singh 11th Grade

-Is E-Learning become a part of your curriculum in secondary
school?

- Yea, my class is literally the 2nd year of students who are being
taught via Educom in 11th and 12th and its quite an experience, as our
teachers are just starting to get the hang of it
11
-Is Educom helpful as a learning tool?

- Yeah, Its actually seriously better then the former style of teaching,
for me at least, as because of my ADHD focus and concentration are
always a problem for me, but due to the interactive style of animation
and exercises in Educom, I actually feel like paying attention. I passed
my Economics Half-Yearly exam with surprisingly good marks because
of the videos put up on our Educom account because that was the
only way I could pay attention, So yeah I think its pretty helpful.

-Would you make any changes to the Educom system if you could?

- Well I don’t thinkeI’d make many changes but what I would do

would be add lots more videos for a wide range of subjects as that is
something that seems to be lacking in our curriculum, and with that
id love some more actual interactive exercises for language subjects
as they really help.

Problems
Thus after seeing and understanding the point of view these students
have, we see a few reoccurring problems here-

-One, There are still several schools which haven't adopted E-Learning
as of yet

-Two, In schools which in turn, have adopted E-Learning, The teachers

are still having problems with adapting to the new format of teaching
as they have spent decades doing it in a different way.

-Three, There is a wide variety of subjects that haven't gotten enough

attention by creators, an thus do not have the magnitude of videos
and exercises as other more popular subjects do.

-Resolution
11
Thus we see these problems appearing in the E-Learning system used
by educomp, and I believe as animators and workers in the creative
field of art, we can have a resounding effect on these problems.

The best way to get rid of the first problem, in which we see that
there are several schools that haven't adapted to E-Learning as of yet,
I believe we can raise money through online services like GoFundMe
to take care of the monetary issues, and as most of these schools are
Government-Based, we must also raise Awareness of how this is
beneficiary for us students.

The Second problem can be alleviated by sending trained personnel

to the schools and giving the teachers a course on how to adopt the
E-Learning method into their Teaching.

The third problem is one that is perfectly made for us animators, as a

shortage of material basically means that more people need to focus
on these lesser-known subjects, and create content for Educom,
through programs meant to increase variation in their library of
videos and exercises.

Conclusion
Thus, We see how intresting E-Learning is, and how it holds a
massive amount of potential for the future of learning and teaching,
Along with a few of its major disadvantages, Which can be seen
through by adopting the resolutions given above.
11
Technology plays an immensely important role in helping learning. It
has helped many effective educational methods such as self-directed,
independent, and even collaborative learning. E-Learning and Educom
are the next step in Human Education, and is something that shall
constantly evolve and change, as it must to adhere with coming
generations, And I am sure it will.
