About this User Manual
This guide provides step by step instructions for establishment , typing center and individuals
on how to access and use the smart services .
The Smart Services system has been initiated under slogan “Smart Services with Future Vision
and will gurantee “Speed and Accuracy” in the visa and residence permist issuing process . It
will also eliminate the need for applicants to visit service centers in person . The Misnitry has
partnered with Tahaluf Al Emarat Techncial Solutions to develop the system which enables
companies and individuals, incuding UAE and GCC nationals and residents, to easily apply for
nationality and residency services online through the following link address
(http://smartservices.ica.gov.ae) from anywhere and at any time .
You can use the steps that is decribed in this guide to register and sign in to the smart services
and explore all its features and funtionalites.
User can use the steps that are described in this guide to log on to the system and log on to
the smart system and explore all its features and functions.

1 Smart Services Overview
Smart Services is a web-based application that is accessed through the link(
https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae.) that required only a web browser with an internet
connection to access and use the services through your device.
Upon access the e channels website, the home page screen will be displayed as shown in
figure below, Through the home page users will have access to the following services.

Establishment and
Individuals.

The e channels application is delivered with a demonstration videos and links that includes
user manual to support you in using and understanding the e channel services.

2 Registration Process
User can register to the system through following link.
o Access the link https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae
Click on the “Typing Centre Registration” Button to start the Registration process.

Enter a valid “Email ID” in the given field.
Click on the "Continue" button to proceed to next step.
Once entered the Email ID in the field you will receive a confirmation message that
email has been sent for registration process.

E-Channels application will validate your Email ID by sending you an email with
Activation Link to complete the Registration process.
Once clicked on” Complete Registration” button it will open page asking about
United Arab Emirates Identity Card.

A new web page will open, and user will be directed to new page with three steps as
given below,
o Verification
o Registration
Select mobile number at which code to be received and Click on “Next” button to
proceed.

Once mobile number is selected, code will be sent to your mobile, enter the OTP
(one-time password) in the given field, code will be valid for 60 seconds, if code
expired click on resend code button to get the new code.

Enter OTP (one-time pin) in the give field and click on” Next” button.

Enter the personal details in the given fields for registration and at last click on
“Register” button.
User must verify that the e-mail address is valid before registering, any error will result in
not receiving the confirmation message and the user will not be able to complete the
registration process.

Once clicked on “Register “button your account will be created successfully,
message will be showed as shown in figure below.

3 Log in to Smart Services
The user can access the system using the” E-Mail Address” and “Password “of the
registered organization.

Enter the “Email ID “in the given field.
Enter the “Correct Password “of email in the password field.
Click on “Login” button.
The system verifies the validity of the “User Name “and” Password”. In the event of
problems with the login, the user can send a request to technical support by e-mail or
by phone call the numbers listed in the "Contact Us" menu in the main menu.

Forgot Password
If you forget your account password, you can click on the "Forgot Password" and the
system will send a link to reset the password for the email.
Enter email in field and click on “Send “button to reset the password.
Click on the Link in the Email sent by the system and follow the steps to reset the new
Password.

4 Using Smart Service Control Panel
The user can apply to any of the services available in the control panel by double-clicking
the desired services category.
Establishment Request: shows the total number of business request submitted by users.

The main menu includes a set of options that enable the user to track his / her request.

5 Browse Smart Services
Logged in Users can use Smart Services to initiate new applications and submit new
Requests.
Through the smart services drop-down navigation menus, you can move through menu
items to choose and select Module, Service Type, Sub-Service, and Service Action to start
the services.

6 Submitting New Request
To Submit a new service request through the smart services, you need to select the
service and click “Start Services” button.

7 Uploading Attachments
After filling the first step information correctly, User will be moved to the second
step of the services request to upload a list of required attachments as follows.
Please note that the attachment may change according to the services selected.

8 Review Application
Review and verify the request information, if there is any need to make changes or
modification, the user can click on the "back" button to return to the previous step to make
changes or can click to the icon from the right corner to edit information as shown in figure
below.

9 Application Fees
Application Fees in the last step where you will be paying the application fees before
final submission.
Review the Fees description and amounts, you select “I agree to the terms and
conditions”.
To start the payment process, choose one of the following payment methods
o Amwal e – wallet
o Pay later

When a transaction is completed it will display message as shown in figure below,
Fees might vary depending on the request, to speed the application services process, you can select
urgent service fees option.

10 Financial Transactions
Amwal Overview
By clicking Amwal link from smart services main menu, users will be transferred to
Amwal Payment Gateway login page.
Amwal payment gateway allows smart services account administrator to create a new
account at Commercial Bank of Dubai via funds transfer system and connect the
establishment users to an account that enables them to pay smart services
transactions fee directly without the need to access portal payment of the Commercial
Bank of Dubai.

About Amwal
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for typing centres, establishments, and
individuals on how to access and use the smart services and Amwal Payment Gateway.
The smart service system has been initiated under the slogan ‘Smart Services with Future

The Amwal Payment gateway step by step guide is targeting smart services users (Typing
centres, Establishments) across the UAE.
Once you are registered on Amwal, you are fully responsible of all the transactions and
requests issued through your account
Amwal Overview
Amwal is an online payment gateway to facilitate the smart services payment through an easy,
secure integrations with the smart services users (Typing centres, Establishments). With
Amwal payment gateway, the smart services account administrators will be able to create a
payment accounts at Commercial Bank of Dubai via funds transfer system and connect their
users (typing centres, establishment) to an integrated payment account that enables them to
pay the smart services transactions fee directly without the need to access the Commercial
Bank of Dubai payment portal.
Amwal provides several online payment services to the smart services users (Typing
centres, Establishments) includes:
o Record all payment transactions executed the system related to visa, residence,
and fines.
o Record all payment transactions failed to complete due to technical error such as
Internet or electricity interruptions.
o Record all successful payment transactions for the accounts payments audits.
o Through Amwal Home Page Users will have access to the following services:
Login to Amwal to create new accounts, adding new bank users, controlling
payment.
Amwal provides you with an easy, secure and safe system to pay your establishment and
typing centre smart services requests.

12 Sign in to Amwal
Sign in to Amwal application, by accessing your default browser as follows:
Enter the URL https://echannels.moi.gov.ae/amwal/ to access Amwal.
Click” login “from the Home page to access the login page.
Enter” User Name” and “Password” and click on” Log in “button.
Users can access Amwal with the same smart services Account’s Username and
Password

figure below

13 Banks Accounts
The Bank Accounts Page is displayed after login, allowing users to control active, non-active
bank accounts, and all the bank account available under your company it also allows to view
the Available balances, to add new Banks accounts, to update Banks accounts and add new
banks accounts Users available as follows:
Enter the new user’s information at the Add Bank account page as shown in the
figure below,
Make sure to verify the email entered before you confirm the creation of the new
user account that it’s the same email registered in smart services.

14 Payments Control
To control and search payment transactions click “Payments” from the main menu.
Enter the merchant Transaction Number, or Request Number, Payment References, and
the required information and click “Search “as shown in the figure below.

Users can control the search results of their payment done, customer, bank name,
information, payment wallet, Amwal Reference and payment status or to Export to Excel
as shown in the figure below.

15 Bank Deposits
Bank Accounts Deposits
Users can use three ways to make deposits to the bank accounts as follows:
o Direct Cash Deposit: Users pass the nearest bank branch to deposit directly
into the bank account.
o Make sure to insert the Amwal account number and account name (Typing
centre or Establishment) in the Notes field of the IBAN transfer process.
o Credit Card transfer: It will be possible to make the payment also through
credit card directly.
