EXP changes:
The level curve and growth changes in EXWY were designed around leaving the EXP Share
on at all times. Because of this, the base EXP reward for KO’ing or catching all Pokémon
encountered in areas unlocked after receiving the EXP Share has been halved. This means
that the EXP Share still gives you some bonus EXP out of thin air, but it now does so without
driving the levels of trainer battles to ridiculous levels halfway through the game. While this
may sound like it makes the games into a grind fest, remember that EXP share trains your
entire team at the same time, so even with the reduced EXP it’s still faster than grinding with
it turned off.
Additionally, many weaker Pokémon, as well as all Pokémon in the fluctuating and erratic
experience groups, have been moved to different growth groups so that they require less (or
more) EXP to level up later in the game. This means that weaker Pokémon will have a
significant level advantage over opposing trainers later in the game (which effectively
increases all of their stats).
The following Pokémon lines have been moved to new experience groups:
Fast (800,000): Drifloon, Gulpin, Seviper, Illumise*, Carnivine, Stantler, Tropius, Relicanth,
Caterpie, Weedle, Rattata, Paras, Meowth, Farfetch'd*, Drowzee, Goldeen, Sentret, Bonsly,

The erratic growth group is no longer used because it’s effectively a worse version of the fast
group early game, but is almost the same later on.
Movepool Changes:
• Because Sucker Punch is now a TM, some generation five and six Pokémon that
wouldn’t normally learn the move now have access to it. Apart from some event
move combinations, this results in the only illegal move sets present in the legal
versions of the games. The following Pokémon now learn Sucker Punch:
Patrat, Watchog, Woobat, Swoobat, Palpitoad, Seismitoad, Cottonee, Whimsicott,
Sandile, Krokorok, Krookodile, Dwebble, Crustle, Scraggy, Scrafty, Yamask,
Cofagrigus, Trubbish, Garbodor, Foongus, Amoonguss, Frillish, Jellicent, Accelgor,
Stunfisk, Vullaby, Mandibuzz, Litleo, Pyroar, Pancham, Pangoro, Inkay, Malamar,
Binacle, Barbaracle, Skrelp, Dragalge, Klefki, Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Noibat,
Noivern
• Some Pokémon also have access to event moves and/or move tutors from previous
games (Sludge Bomb Zoroark, Surf Pikachu, Body Slam Tauros, etc.)
• Level up moves have been updated to match ORAS where possible. As of version 2.0,
the Rebalanced versions of the mod have been updated to include moveset additions
from Sun and Moon, such as Jump Kick Dodrio and Dragon Dance Flygon.
Ability Changes:
• Most Pokémon now have their Hidden Ability available as one of their two regular
abilities.
• Many Pokémon with three useful abilities are found in hordes so that all three are
available.
