TENSION (GAUGE)
17 sts and 19 rows to a 10cm (4in) square using 4.50mm (UK7 - US 7)
crochet hook or size required to obtain tension (gauge).

starting as working to the wrong tension (gauge) will
mean your toy will not be the size shown and could result

round 2 2dc (sc) in each st around - 12 sts. Break yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.

round 5 (3dc (sc), inc) around - 30 sts. Sew head to body using stitches between rounds 7 and 8 of

round 7 (5dc (sc), inc) around - 42 sts. Sew both wings to neck line.
round 8 3dc (sc), inc, (6dc (sc), inc) five times, 3dc (sc) - 48 sts. Sew legs to bottom of body using only few sts.
round 9 (7dc (sc), inc) around - 54 sts.
