Executive Summary

The OSACO Enterprise was established in January of 2020 by a group of friends who

decided to come up with a business that would aid the current demand in our small

community. At first, we were planning to just write down our ideas, but then we decided to

make it more realistic and shared our point of views about starting up a business. The initial

plan is to produce our own products, but as a starter there are set backs that we might

came across. Therefore, it’s been suggested to start from a little and plan to get it bigger

and bigger as we go through to achieving our goals. The OSACO Enterprise name was

created base the members’ last names initials (Oropesa, Secorata, Amelano, Casim and

Ordonez). The OSACO Enterprise has made some list of potential location for our physical

stores, but our top choice is located at Barlin St., Naga City, not only the location is in

downtown Naga, we believe that it is the place that is more accessible to people who usually

do their family errands.

The OSACO Enterprise has been eying to produce products that are in demand and

trend in nowadays new norms. The company came up with an idea of producing a new

trend of bags which is tote bags made from canvas, in which we see that would help our

environment by reducing the used of the traditional plastic bags. The mere fact, that people

are now becoming more aware of the harmful effect of the used plastics in our environment,

that even our government has implemented ordinances (Order no. 2019-026) that limit the

people from using disposable plastic bags. The OSACO company advocates the same cause

as we would want, not to eliminate, but at least minimize the used of plastic bags. The

social media has been a big help in terms of sharing information that has a great impact in

people’s change of preferences.

Type of Business
The OSACO Enterprise is a manufacturing type of business activity that produces and

sells canvas-made products and provides customization service. According to Accounting

Verse, unlike a merchandising business, a manufacturing business buys products with the

intention of using them as materials in making a new product. Thus, there is a

transformation of the products purchased. A manufacturing business combines raw

materials, labor, and overhead costs in its production process.

The company is basically a general partnership in which all five members will have

an equal shared in investment, accountability, tasks, liability, etc. In addition, each of the

members has its own skills and expertise which can be a crucial investment that would also

be a contributing factor for the company’s success.

Company Summary

The OSACO Enterprise was formed on January 7, 2020. The company has been very

interested in the idea of making products that are environmentally friendly and at the same

time, is fashion trending. Some of these are hyacinth or lilies slippers, bags made from

denim rags and even wrapper that was made from banana leaves. Consequently, this great

ideas helped formed the OSACO Enterprise which has gain interest in making bags made

from Canvas fabric.

Our company deals in selling and customizing canvas-made products. The shopping

and other errands that every family has to take on a daily basis that makes these bags a

necessity, especially for those people who are fond of shopping. Not only these bags are

now being used as carrier of their groceries, some of the young people are now using

canvas made bags as their fashionable carrier and are now being used for almost every

occasion.
The OSACO products are made from canvas fabric, a renewable resource,

sustainable and reusable which make it a perfect for every event and multipurpose bags i.e.

shopping, going to school, carrying book etc. In addition, we offer customization of bags

that gives customers the designs of their choice, this will give the power to choose what

type of designs should be printed on the bags. The competition might be high as other

might offer the same, but OSACO has people who are dedicated and experienced, these can

our advantage as each member work together to achieve the same goal. Out company may

be easily penetrate the market and make our brand on top of the list in future.

Management

The success of the company relies on the people working within, hence we made a

very important decision to designate each of the member to the position we see they are fit.

The members agreed and decided to give the position to a person who the qualities to

handle such job. Rachel Oropesa has been chosen as the General Manager of the company,

because of her experience in handling her own online business and in addition to handling

people within their family business. Oropesa is capable of handling the pressure that the

company might come across due to her experiences. She used to handle online selling

business which is the kind of business that the OSACO enterprise will venture. Jayar Casim

will be in charged in managing the production due to his observant behaviour that would

help our company to ensure that the high quality standard is being met. Diosa Amelano will

be our procurement manager, just like Rachel, Diosa used to have her own online clothing

business. She used to communicate with several clients, both suppliers and customers, her

people skills will help our company to make a better deal with our suppliers and at the same

time, invites potential investors and customers. Lounell Ordonez will be the administrative

manager, he will be in charged on the business requirements, business registration, filings,

accounting and recordings, etc. He has been working in different companies industries that
helps him gained knowledge that our company needs. He used to work in a company

wherein he managed the entire operation, from accounting up to handling clients. He will be

handling all the finances of the company. Stephanie Secorata will be our marketing

manager, she worked as marketing employee in her previous company, this is no longer a

new job for her due to the fact that the same position was also given to her in her most

recent job.
