Things to do after fresh Ubuntu install

 UserName – user | DeviceName – Linux

 Fix the brightness

1. Open the file /etc/default/grub using gedit or any other text editor. Ex-
sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
2. Find the below line.
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
3. Change above line to:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_backlight=vendor"

 Terminal

1. sudo apt udate; sudo apt upgrade


2. sudo apt install build-essential
3. sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras
4. sudo apt install git
5. mkdir ~/.icons ; mkdir ~/.themes

6. sudo apt install neofetch


7. sudo apt remove <Application-Name>
8. apt list
9. ./ configure
make
sudo make install

 Miscellaneous

1. Uncheck Title Bar from lower left of customize in Firefox


2. dconf editor – extend | power
3. 7z e file.7z

In dconf Editor go to /org/gnome/shell/extensions/dash-to-dock

autohide ON
dock-fixed OFF
intellihide OFF
