EEE 1218 Sessional On Analog Electronics: Experiment 04: Demonstration of Amplifier Using Common Emitter Circuit
1. OBJECTIVES
The main objective(s) of the experiment is/are to:
a. Know about the common emitter configuration of a NPN transistor
b. Demonstrate the amplification process of a amplifier created with common emitter circuit
c. Know about the output characteristics of a amplifier signal.
3. The output signal is 180 deg face shifted w.r. to ground but frequency of the output signal is
same as input signal.
.
4. Discussion:
In this experiment we learnt about how a transistor work a amplifier. As transistor works as a amplfier in
the active region where C-B is reversed biased and B-E is forward biased. So, firstly I checked the Vcb and
Vbe for ensuring the transistor is in active region. Then I passed ac voltage through Vin terminal and
measure output through Vout terminal for calulating gain of the amplifier. I also checked the face difference
of the output signal w.r to input signal using oscilloscope.
