1. Clean the tank with mild solution and rinse the tank with clean water and dry the tank.
Then prepare the processing solutions in their respective tanks.
4. Do not lower the temperature by adding cold water or ice cubes directly into the solution.
6. Do not use the same stirrer for both developer and fixer.
7. Check all the requirements for loading the film such as lead screens, cassettes, tapes etc.,
before switching off the white light.
8. Allow ten minutes for dark adoption, and then start loading the film.
9. After loading close the film box containing the unexposed films and close the cassettes.
10. Load the required number of type I film and type II film separately and identify them
clearly, for suitable exposure.
11. Carefully handle the film- do not expose to high humidity, excessive direct sunlight on the
cassette, while in the exposure site.
12. Unload the film after exposure on a separate table, to prevent the mixture of exposed and
unexposed films.
13. Load the exposed films on clean and dry channel hangers. Set the darkroom timer to the
required time based on the developer temperature.

14. Process the film with care paying due attention to TIME, TEMPERATURE, AND
AGITATION. Do not adjust the time of development for exposure, as this may result in
change in density, but however SENSITIVITY will be lost.
15. Before immersing the film in the developing tank check the level of the solution. Film
should totally immerse in the solution. Add Replenisher to developing tank and not
water, to bring the level to the original position.
16. Always use the recommended filters, wattage of the bulb, and the suggested distance from
the loading table, for the safe light.
17. Cover the processing solution with lid to prevent oxidation whenever not in use.
18. Keep the dark room clean, and remember “RADIOGRAPHY STARTS IN DARK
ROOM AND ENDS IN DARK ROOM.
19. Clean the processing tanks with mild soap solution, wash thoroughly and dry before the
next mix.
