7S GOOD HOUSEKEEPING
ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
2nd Quarter CY 2021
I. INTRODUCTION/OBJECTIVES

7S of Good Housekeeping is a basic and fundamental approach to increasing


efficiency, quality, and safety performance in all type of workplace. It is intended
to optimize the physical workspace for efficiency and effectiveness by identifying
and storing the items used, maintaining orderliness and cleanliness in the area
and sustaining the new order to ensure safety of the workers in the most efficient
manner.

OBJECTIVES

 To create awareness on basic concepts of 7S of good housekeeping within


the Administrative Division;
 To implement and apply 7S good practices in each section under
Administrative Division; and
 To maintain cleanliness and orderliness in each section under Admin
Division.

II. HIGHLIGHTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Despite of several challenges faced by the Administrative Division, all its sections
have able to engaged in the following 7s activities for the 2nd Quarter of Cy 2021:

SORT – staff distinguished and sorted out necessary and unnecessary items at
their respective workplace. Likewise, removal of unwanted items was done
especially removal of personal stuff making their office more appealing, spacious
and clean.

SCRUB – after sorting necessary things and removal of unnecessary items, all
staff clean and scrub their work area and ensure that is free from dust and dirt.
STRAIGHTEN – staff identified right places to set up properties and equipment.
Arranging items in such a manner that they are easy to use, readily available for
use and also for safety.

SUSTAIN/SAFETY/SPIRIT – the Division ensure the safety of each employee


and properties by removing unnecessary things that might cause damage and
placing equipment to safer place. Likewise, apart from demonstrating to others
what needs to be done and encouraging practice of good habits and discipline
amongst employee, each office has identified 7S focal per section who will
monitor the continuous implementation and practices of the 7s of good
housekeeping, to wit:

III. ACTION PLAN FOR NEXT QUARTER

 Creation of schedule for 7S activities;


 Creation of Checking
 Continuous tagging of Documents and Equipment and removal of unwanted
items;
 Continuous monitoring of all sections under Admin Division to ensure
cleanliness and orderliness in the Division; and
 Request of Funds to Budget Section intended for the procurement of
Cabinets for safekeeping of pertinent records/equipment.

IV. RECOMMENDATION

1. Inclusion of 7S Technical Working Group as target in their IPCs to ensure


effective implementation of 7S.
2. GAS to providing resources and infrastructure (space for supplies/pertinent
documents) for 7S implementation
3. Identification of funds to purchase additional cabinets for the safekeeping of
supplies/pertinent documents.
