Aspen Reference Guide Attendance Intervention Module (AIM)

1. From the School View go to the Student Top Tab


2. Select the appropriate student record
3. Select the Documents Side Tab

4. Select the Ed. Plans Sub Side Tab


5. Click the Dictionary icon, and select AIM Module

6. Click Options, Add to create a new Ed. Plan

Please Note:
▪ Students should only have one AIM Plan per school, per school year. Once an AIM Plan has been activated for a
student, additional actions and notes should be added to the existing plan.
• If a student transfers to another school, the new school may create a new AIM Plan.

• Below is a blank Student Attendance Intervention Module Plan (AIM)


• Click Save to populate vital information needed for the AIM Plan
• The Effective date should be the original date when the plan goes into effect.

7. Confirm the correct DC Absence letters have been generated

NOTE: If DC Absence letters have to been populated, navigate to Attendance Top Tab > Reports > DC Absence
Letter Violation – 3, 5, 7, 15 days and run the letters

8. Click Add to create a new Summary of Interventions

Blank Summary of Intervention(s) form. Fill out the information as needed that is applicable to this
summary. Select the Intervention Journal Type for each entry, 5 Day/SST, or 10 Day, or 15 Day

9. Click Save once all data has been entered

10. Each Summary of Intervention will be represented as in the example above. There should ONLY be ONE
entry for each intervention

Adding Police Pick-Ups

11. Click Add in the Police Pick-ups section to create a new record
12. In the Police Pickup wizard enter the Date
13. Select Police Conference Held
14. Click Save

Adding Meetings/Calls:
15. Click Add to create Meeting/Calls for each occurrence
16. Complete the Meeting/Calls wizard

17. Click Add to select meeting Participants then click the Magnifying Glass to add a participant entrys
18. Save when complete

19. Click Save to update the Student Attendance Intervention Education Plan
20. When the status of the AIM plan is changed to Active and has been saved the Ed. Plan icon will appear in the
breadcrumb next to the students name.
