Lesson 5

The Zoo

The zoo is a place where we see the domestic & wild animals and
birds. From among the domestic animals are rabbits, dogs, cats
and similar to them. From among the wild animals are lions, fox,
and leopards. The homily birds such as pigeons, parrots, ducks and
such other kinds. The wild birds like hawk, vulture, eagle and others
are also there.

There is a big zoo in Delhi. Many kinds of birds and animals can be
found there. You can see in it the terrifying lion and scaring lioness.
There are different varieties of huge leopards and beautiful deers.
There are also elephants in it. The elephant is a big animal. There
are large numbers of black elephants. In this zoo there is also a
white elephant.

Each elephant has two long white tusks. Along with these domestic and
wild animals you can also see different types of birds, such as beautiful
pigeons of various colors, small domestic sparrows, large and small colorful
parrots.

All big and small countries establish zoological parks in every big
City to keep various types of local and foreign animals and birds.
We also find in the zoo, the rare kinds of animals and birds.
Similarly, the governments also preserve in it, foreign animals and
birds that are bought or gifted by the friendly foreign countries for
the enjoyment of the people seeing them.
One fine day our teacher Mohammed said to us, that we would go
to the zoo to enjoy and learn more information about the animals
and their worlds.

We sought permission from our principal Syed Jameel for this trip.
He welcomed the idea and approved it, and said, “Inshaa Allah you
will be going to the zoo on next Sunday. I will make (necessary)
arrangement for you -Students and teachers. And (also for) the
bus. – I will send with you two attenders for your convenience.
Then we thanked the principal for the approval.
