MY VILLAGE, KAMPUNG SENTOSA

I live in Kampung Sentosa. It is a traditional village located fifteen kilometres from a small town, Bidor. The village is
surrounded by a range of hills and mountains.

The people in my village are kind and humble. We live in harmony and help each other especially during ceremonies lik e
weddings and festivals. They are mainly farmers in my village. They grow paddy in large fields.

These fields look extremely beautiful when the paddy plants are growing. There are also many coconut trees around the
village. The villagers live in old wooden traditional houses. The houses are built on stilts as the river nearby sometimes ov erflows
during the rainy season. The only brick buildings in the village are the few shops which are found along the main road.

Although living in a village is not as exciting as living in town, I enjoy the peaceful life here. I love the serenity o f my
village.
