3.Erection of Steel structure and Purlins

 Steel Erection Starts with the braced bay if it doesn’t affect the erection of grid lines
before that. We planned to start with (1-B) OR (1-P) column direction by starting
complete grid of (4-B)OR (4-P) with braced bay which will be depends again as per
site conditions.
 Positioning of the tower crane in the suitable position for the easy access of erection points.
 Columns will be fixed to the Anchor bolts which are already casted in the foundation.
 Tie beams / purlins and wall bracings will be connected in between each column.
 Pre-assembly of rafters (truss) will be done at ground level.
 First rafter will be lifted to its position with the crane and erectors will connect it to the
columns as per the drawings with the help of Scaffolding.
 After the proper bolting and its tightening we will provided additional stays (Steel ropes)
before releasing it from the crane.
 Adjacent rafter (truss) will be lifted to the position and erectors will be bolt it to the column.
 Enough Roof purlins will be installed and also may provide additional stays if required so that the
crane can be released slowly & safely.
 The main erection team will then continue the main rafter’s erection, with necessary supports
with necessary purlins / tie beams.
 Available erectors will continue the balance purlins / tie beams / Bracing erection.
 As soon as the completion of the secondary structures erection final alignment and bolt
tightening will be checked and corrected if any required.
 Then the structure will be offered for the client inspection to continue with cladding works.

4.Cladding

Cladding mostly starts with roof or it can also be with wall as per the site conditions and access
availability.
 Bundle of roof sheets will be lifted to the roof and properly tied to the structure according to
its fixing positions as per the drawings.
 Crew will fix the protective tapes if any over the purlins.
 First line of Roof sheet will be placed over the purlin and it will be screwed as per the sheeting
drawing after checking the alignment.
 Joint tapes will be fixed before installing the next sheet.
 The same process will repeat for installing every next sheet.
 Complete roof sheet will be fixed in this manner with enough or complete screws as per the
drawing.
 After that joint riveting and balance screwing if any will be completed.
 Sweeping / cleaning will be done every day till completing the cladding of the roof to clear the
burs of drilling and to avoid its future rusting.
 After completing the roof, team will go for the wall cladding using scaffoldings for the access.
 Methodology of the installation of wall cladding is same like the roof cladding except joint
tapes are may be not required in wall as per the building suppliers design.
 According to the availability of items and site conditions crew will fix the final finishing items
such as flashing etc.
 Finally visual test and if needed water test in the roof may also can be performed.
