1. In a lifting machine an effort of 400 N is required to raise a load of 3000N and an effort of 640N, to raise a load
of 5000N. CALCULATE the load that can be lifted with an effort of 760N. If the velocity ratio is 16,
DETERMINE the efficiency of the machine when an effort of 760 N is applied. CONFIRM whether the machine
is reversible. (10 Marks)
