Analyze the pictures in the worksheets provided. Answer the questions found below the
pictures. Be open and honest about your interpretations of the photos and your answers to the
self-reflection questions. Limit your answer to one to two sentences in each number.

Answer:
1. The message of person’s body language;
A. I think His body language means annoyed or angry.
B. I think Her body language means happy or in the mood of excitement.
C. I think Her body language means not interested or having a mood swing.
D. I think His body language means laughter and happiness.

2. No, because what gender you have as long as the body language is clear in visual of the people
seeing it, the Interpretation will not be affected.
3. No, because body language is a nonverbal signals that use to communicate with your feelings.
Therefore in delivering body language the social status nor age cannot make any difference to
what they feel.

4. The body language of letter A and C, I think they need someone to talk to that make them feel
better. While the body language of letter b and letter d are fun to hang with and I think they are
always energetic every time.

5. The situation were they misinterpreted my body language is when I’m in a birthday party,
gathering or any occasions, where in I became observant and silent because I am shy to talk to
other people all the time.

6. Yes, because like what we usually say we cannot read the minds of other people that we
encounter or we see, that’s why we judge. For example, I do the body gesture of observant, well
for sure the people who sees my gesture will say I’m interested of theirs life but in fact I’m
observant because I have trust issue or problems.

Answer:
1. The message of the person’s facial expressions;
A. Her facial expression means she’s bore or not interested of what you are telling to him.
B. His facial expression means having doubt or disbelief in something.
C. Her facial expression means satisfaction on something or happiness.
D. His facial expression means depressed on something or sad.

2. No, because facial expression is responsible for communicating not only thoughts or
ideas, but also emotions therefore facial expression cannot be measured by any gender.

3. Well, I’d be glad to the facial expression of the letter C because being happy always is good in
our health and personality, while for the others expression I’ll surely laugh specially if they were
my friends because it’s funny how they give me that kind of expressions but if they have problems
I’ll be there too as their closest friend.

4. Yes, when I was sad, they always think that I am just acting to get some attentions but the truth
is, it is not.

5. Yes, sometime in our everyday journey we will encounter some facial expressions of people,
maybe your friends or part of family that are too hard to understand because they are good in
hiding their feelings.

6. No, because even if the facial expressions are difficult to understand in visual, the meaning will
also stays the same. So we need to talk to them why their facial expression is like that so that we
can understand them.
Answer:
1. Letter B and letter C shows the strong connection to each other like they know each other well
while letter A and D shows not, because the photos shows clearly their relations like they don’t
know each other.

2. Probably, the speaker and the receiver are having problems or arguments.

3. Well I think I’ll be shocked because it’s not normal that someone was not in their normal race.

4. When I’m interacting with the other people I usually communicate and socially because it’s
really hard for me to vibe in person specially when I didn’t know the person or I just meet him
first time.
PROCESS OF COMMUNICATION, VERBAL AND NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION

Communication is the process of conveying information between two or more people. The
communication process is the steps we take in order to achieve a successful communication.

Verbal and non-verbal codes should complement each other. With visual communication,
interpretation of signs and symbols is crucial since people have different ways of interpreting
them. It is important to always contextualize the symbol / sign received in order to arrive at the
correct interpretation.

The effectiveness of verbal communication is similar to the role of nonverbal communication.

Individuals would need to review their communication skills that they possess and try to improve
over them keeping in mind the pros and cons.

The major aspect is that information is to be passed on in a proper way. Lack of information
causes disturbances. Hence, communications are important to improve relationships between and
among individuals.

The most important aspect of both the modes of communication i.e. verbal and non0verbal, is
that both are utilized towards mutual understanding and ultimately bring about productive and
satisfying results.

Through nonverbal communication, our attitudes are understood while verbal communication
makes our meaning understood to the other party.

Communication is inevitable. Our need for self-expression leads us to communicate not only
our thoughts but also our feelings. What do you think might happen to the world if
communication does not exist?
